I am going to sticky this thread too. We are going to try and do all we can as a community to help everyone out here.

I am a moderator on the board as some of you may know, so I thought i would voice my opinion to save some of you guys headaches when it comes to piecing your turbo kits or engines. I've dealt with these guys for a while and EVERY time I order something it is fucked up or arrives months later.

I wanted to make this thread 6-8 weeks ago but I got tied up with a lot of work and what not. Ricky no longer works for WSL and to make up all the bullshit he pulled he offered me cost on ALL items and a guarantee nothing would ever get messed up again. Guess what? He no longer works for them now. He continued to lie to me about shipping dates, product availability, as well as cancelling orders which were still charged. Then he goes onto say Eric/Kyle are the ones in charge of billing and he can't do anything.

Anyways....

I'll go ahead and ive you my background with them.... sit down and grab a drink if you are thirsty.

1) August 2004 - Customer related

I ordered about $2,750 worth of parts from WSL. I needed 2 ACT XTSS clutches ASAP and Ricky promised the clutch would arrive by that following thursday since the customer was going to be picking the car up that following monday. Ricky told me that tuesday the clutch went out 3 day as it was JUST made by ACT. Thursday comes, no clutch. Ricky said wait till friday... it will definitely be in. Friday night at 9pm no clutch. Monday comes, Ricky ignores me via AIM. He ignores me tuesday as well so I have to personally call Kyle and speak with him. He has Ricky call me... Ricky calls me back and says there was an issue with his distrubutor and I should have it that day as it was being overnighted. I get fed up and call ACT since they were drop shipping it. ACT tells me the clutches were not even finished being made and wouldn't be finished till early next week. ACT does me a favor and finished the clutch that friday and overnighted it directly to me. They also mentioned that wired speed had me down for a GROUND shipment when I paid them close to $100 for that shipping service. I personally spoke with Kyle reguarding the issue and he promised me it would not happen again as he was going to have a serious conversation with Ricky. I ended up giving the customer a price break on labor to appease him since he went an extra week without a car.

2) My personal car

I ordered a prothane suspension kit for my Drag EK. Ricky gave me a great price as usual, so I overlooked what happened last fall and went with him. He told me it would be 2-3 weeks since nobody has them in stock. Approaching that timeline I asked him about the eta and he said it would be in that following week. Cool. I put the EK in my garage, removed the suspension so I could press everything in once the kit arrived.... 3.5 weeks later I have no bushings and a hatchback on jackstands taking up room in my garage along with suspension components. I confront ricky, he tells me it should be in anytime now. A week later still nothing. I tell him to cancel my order and he tells me he can't. I go off on him... he later refunds my money 3 days later. I purchase the kit from Terry (BoostFed) and it arrives 6 business days later. The kit is still sitting in my closet now since I had to re-install my suspension since it was taking up too much room in my garage as I had other cars to work on.

3) Customer Related

I ordered a Greddy 60mm Oil Pressure gauge on 5/16/05. I told ricky it HAD to be in by 5/23/05 at the absolute LATEST. He said no problem. No gauge on the 23rd... I figure I would wait till tuesday since the guy needs the car back by wednesday. No gauge tuesday either. I send ricky an AIM and no response. I attempt to reach him wednesday and his away message goes up after I say hello. Thursday he said his supplier was closed and it would def be in on friday. I asked him to check around 10:30am friday morning (5/27) and ask him to find out the deal. 5pm rolls around and I get no response from him. I remind him again and then his away message goes up about 3 minutes later. I AIM him again today (5/31) and he ignores me... 5 minutes later his away message goes up. I tell him to cancell my order and he gives me some bullshit excuse that Eric can only do that and he was supposed to check on the shipping last week as well. Now about 10 minutes ago I get an IM from ricky asking if I was upset and if he could make it up to me. I ended up having to overnight a gauge today which is costing me $50 out of my pocket plus the customer is without a car for an extra week.

4) May 2004 - Mase

Mase needed a walbro overnighted when we were in virginia. He got it from Kyle... I believe Mase was 'working' for WSL at the time. The fuel pump never showed up and some kid didn't get his car tuned and mase was out $300 bucks.

5) My buddy Robbie

Robbie orders Peak Boost Intercooler piping for his '00 Civic Si. Robbie got tired of waiting so he started to call Ricky at WSL. Ricky would not return his calls... and when he did get Ricky on the phone he would make him wait for VERY LONG periods of time. Robbie gets sick of waiting and tells WSL to cancel the order and issue him a refund. Ricky says they show no record of payment... however robbie has a bank statement showing that they deducted $X amount for the kit. Robbie is pretty upset at this point. He demands a refund and some time passes before he gets it. Then out of the middle of nowhere WEEKS later the intercooler piping shows up on his door. So robbie now has 2 sets of IC piping. How long did this process take? 3 months. Robbie calls Ricky and tells him he cancelled the order and did not want the part... Ricky ends up dicking around for a while then gives him a refund and tells Robbie to keep the piping at no cost.

6) My buddy Will

Ordered Hondata and injectors May 6th, 2005. On their website it said in stock and will ship in 2-3 days... he even confirmed this with Ricky via phone. He waited a week and gave it longer than 3 days, he called Ricky and said the package is not able to be picked up or delivered. Ricky said he would have it overnighted... it never showed up. Will calls Ricky up and gets put on hold for 20 minutes. Then all of a sudden a pre-recorded message comes on saying that the offices of WSL are temporarily closed. He tries calling back, nothing. The next day he gets a hold of Ricky and Ricky then said RC said they don't have any injectors then promised it would be drop shipped the next day. Ricky PROMISED it would be there.... nothing came that next day. Finally Will asked to speak with someone 'higher up.' He speaks with Eric and gives his story... Eric didn't know anything about the issue. After speaking with eric the hondata came in next day air and the injectors came 2 days later. Because of this he went 3 weeks without a car (5/28 packages received). He was supposed to come down to Charleston, SC last weekend so I could tune his car... because of this he couldn't and won't be able to for another 2 weeks. He had to return his fuel system back to stock AGAIN because of this. (I sent him a good base map that he could safely drive here with).

I know you guys LOVE saving a few bucks... but trust me on this one guys... go elsewhere. The headaches you save will be worth 20 or 30 bucks.

i never had a problem with them until now. everything i've ever ordered always came in a timely manner right when they said it would. now i have this bullshit and stress to deal with. i filed a complaint with the IFCC but i doubt anything will happen with that. as far as ordering my parts from now on, since i'm moving back to dallas, everything will be done locally. i'm tired of worrying about whether i'm going to get ripped off or not. and the one time i wasn't worried about getting ripped off, i do. so the way i see it, **** wired speedlab

I really hate reading these poor customer service threads. I do this for a living and know what it takes to make your customers happy and keep a good relationship. With that being said... all the parts that I have ordered in the past I rarely get good service. I dont know if these guys are just getting in over their heads or what.........

I'm one of WSL victims - great pricing, but that's about it. Lies after lies. Everything takes 3-4 weeks longer to get than what they tell you.

We are waiting to hear from Kyle on money he owes from back in Febuary of this year. He has been avoiding our emails and phone calls.

i ordered a thermal 3" turbo exhaust from them for my dc, i told them i wanted it the following friday, n ricky guaranteed me it would be, he said they would get it tuesday and ship it out to me 3 day so i could have it friday, well after it didnt come friday i waited till the following wed, all the while my car sits with turbo on and ready to go but i cant drive w/o an exhaust.

2 more weeks finally go by with ricky giving me the run around, now he seems liek a cool guy but 3 weeks late on a guaranteed order is bullshit, i got my exhaust one week before i moved 5 hours away from home

its bullshit and i think wsl is a great company just needs new workers/ or a new way of ordering , organization seemed pretty damn shitty imo

Lol, I never got anything when I was told it would come. I don't care if the rep doesn't have anything to do with shipping or not. He shouldn't say it will be there if he can't back it up.

Canada hates WSL.

I ordered a flywheel and BOV from WSL and had to 'push' to get the **** shipped out. Why the hell should I send 10 PM's just to get some damn parts to my house?

A few months later i ordered precision injectors only get get 10 x worse service. I would only get a reply every 3 or 4 pm's. After over a month, never did my order show up on my account on WSL and never did i receive a tracking number. About the only thing they did right was refund my money 1 hour after i filed a claim with paypal - but that is only because **** hit the fan in the forced induction FS threads.

To top it off i lost $15 when the money was exchanged back over to Canadian funds. The irony was that i went though all this to save $15 in the first place. Note to self: the little money saved from online stores like this is not worth the headaches.

I'm glad someone with some clout around here has posted some public feedback.

i heard wsl is going bankrupt.ricky is a good guy but it wasnt his bussiness.he has his own steup now with another guy.ricky was alwayz good to me as far pricing and shipping my parts.

RICKY SUCKS. I had a problem with him. i bought a exedy clutch and he said he ship it 2 day fed ex. but it over 2 weeks to receive . He told me after 1 week later that it ship just now from the distributor. I had to call the manager Kyle directly to get my clutch overnighted. What terrible service. I aim Ricky and he would always ignore me

Actually Anthony, I never got refunded for my piping - I was tired of waiting and bought a used I/C piping kit, and ANOTHER BOV to go with it - All of the sudden my Peakboost piping shows up one day - Now I have a worthless set of I/C piping and a BOV I didn't need - All I got was the runaround, I have spent lots of money that didn't have to be spent, all because I was fucked around with for so many months - I will stick with, Boostfed, Importparts, and Lightning motorsports from now on

thats nuts, i had great service with them for like 5k bucks worth of orders. cant believe im hearing this ****. now they have a busy tone and no web site?!?! kinda iffy.

last year i placed some orders with them. everything was taken care of. then i reccomended my friends to do business with them a few months ago.. and 2 of them want to kick my *** for reccomending them because they havent gotten ****.

Your right. Your orders were *edit* up. I offered you cost on the items because I personally knew it was. I dont mind you bashing WSL etc, I was with them when it happened and you know what I accept the criticism.

ONLY
because I wasn't the cause of it. I NEVER had access to the company paypal account, nor refunding system etc.

Eric did purchase orders, so guess what, if you got your gauge, he forgot to cancel it.

Whats frigging hilarious is this..

Where is WSL now? Can anybody get ahold of anyone there? emails?? etc

Yet I answer my own private fking phone to help anybody and everybody all night long. Including 12AM calls my time when I am home trying to relax. I check my yahoo account.

Actually.. shoot now that I think about it. AF-P has overnighted EVERY SINGLE ORDER that I took with WSL that a customer never got.

I am very very tired of people bashing me as if everything was my fault. Ricky this, ricky that. HAve you ever considered the fact that maybe I knew what was going on but had to bite my tounge and avoid you just because I had to be "politically correct"?

I posted up I wasn't with WSL anymore AND THAT everyone could contact me for help. Do you see anyone else helping? I sure as fk dont.


Somebody mentioned something about a clutch. Hey, if the distributor doesn't ship out your clutch because of financing issues with WSL is that my fault? Or did I pay the bills at WSL also?

So for everyone that has something negative to say about me, do yourself a favor. Order from AF-Performance.. I cant just touch the lid on the cookie jar here, I run it here. If a order is fucked up here, I take the blame and fix it. There isn't one single order that we have taken and trust me its been plenty that hasn't gotten there MAXIMUM 3 days. If it took longer, guess what, each customer had a wonderful experience with our service.

Bash the company, thats fine by me... However dont drag my name in the dirt without knowing the full story.

Anthony, maybe you and dustin should have a talk about the real situation before you come personally attacking me.

Lets see who else..

Im sure the other vendors will love how you go in there threads and actually pm people lowballing there prices.. Tom at lighting, maybe ben at import parts, ken at phoenixturbo , I mean crap, I could go on.

While kyle may owe you a refund in which I agree with you, it seems you never mention the times he covered YOUR ***..

Like that tien suspension we special ordered you... Remember that, you got scammed iwth a fake money order? Kyle let you return it to us when WE NEVER stocked the item at all..

Can you recall that?

Or how about the times we hooked u up with rcs and shipped it to your customers right away to make you look super good while in return you were going in my threads lowballing my prices and toms prices on rcs at the time to steal the sales?? Didnt think i forgot that?

WSL doesn't exist anymore. I apologize on my behalf for selling you stuff that you either wont get or your just gonna get a refund on. However bash the company, not me.. If you buy something from me with AF-Performance and its fucked up, Post up the horror story..

**** ill host it on the website as a hotseller.


Sorry for venting and the profanity. It is very unproffessional of me, however I refuse to keep hearing all this ricky bs, kyle fixed it ****, ricky sucks crap again.

Cause it shouldn't have been a problem to begin with in the first place if all was well.
