Why the hell do my spark plug wires keep popping of the distributor. I mean I am just gonna zip tie them to stop it from happening. But why does it happen? Its usually when I am getting on it HARD

I have heard of this happening but it never has to me. I have mine zip tied to the distributor.

Happens to me too. I am using the MSD wires. I think its just because we have too much power. Either that or the exhaust actuator valve is going bad.

I zip tied mine till i get some new NGK's. Those seem to stay on gootentight.

Everyone I know with the msd's pop off I run ngk or stock, and never have problems, now that I jinxed myself I think I will zip tie them. Jason

stick with Stock.......notthing wrong with the stock wires

you probably need to burp them. On air cooled VWs that happens with good plug sets because they seal to the plug very well. by installing them with a piece of wire between the boot and the plug (or where ever it seals) and when the engine is hot you might be able to stop it.

I know my MSDs kept popping off when I was running 18psi. They don't do it now at 10psi.

Its the MSD wires, they suck ***, I've had nothing but problems with them. Switched to NGKs, highly recommended, perfect fit, everything is great now.

I have stock wires tho guys... not MSD...I run 1 bar...usually happens in 4th gear at like 100mph....uhhhhh uhhh closed road of course
