Hi,
Im strugerling to find some infomation on sleeving a b20. I know the darton MID sleeves won't fit but the ductile iron ones will. Anyone got a website I can buy these from and that will ship to the UK? Does anyone know of some other sleeves I could use?

You can use Dartons they just don't have that specific sleeve for that application. The MID's will work its just that Darton had some concerns regarding that particular block. Golden Eagle will sleeve your block but I don't think they will just sell you the sleeves out right, can't hurt to ask. Gonna cost a pretty penny to ship that block overseas. Maybe Golden Eagle will work with you on the price to make it a little more affordable for you, I know they are always willing to help someone out.

just sleeve an LS, the b20 really doesnt have enough material to machine away for the sleeving process and you end up cutting into the water jackets

and to be honest its also not worth the hassle in a sense that its not BETTER to have a b20 bottom end in your case.

I already have the b20 so not going to buy a b18.
Power wise im going to be looking for the 500 mark.

Anyone else got any advice?

sell it and buy an ls.... sleeving a b20 is a royal pain in the ***... how do i know.. i tried to do it and ended up buying an ls

To where and what price do they charge for sleeving?

I'll have a look into the cost of shipping but i really think i'm just going to buy the iron ductile darton sleeves.

bro just boost it!! I know a bunch of people that made 500 on stock sleeve b20 bottem end. I made 440 on e85 and on q16 504whp so umm as long as you got a good setup you should be fine.. I dd my car with a/c and still made good numbers!!!

email or call golden eagle. as far as i know they can properly re-sleeve the b20 block with no issues.

wouldn't it be cheaper to have one of the sleeving companies find and sleeve a block for you instead of shipping yours out to them? i would think so. then you'd only be paying shipping one way.

that way you'd be able to get an LS to boot, and avoid any potential problems, because of this:

Doesn't the above statement make you kinda nervous about using a b20? That guy (wantboost) usually seems on point with the advice he gives out. How much money, if any, would you be saving if you ended up using the b20 block you already have? ****, you may even save money by having them find you a block here in the states.

It's just not worth the hassle IMO. I'm just saying...

Or ask GE if they can supply the block themselfs and sleeve it before shipping it out to you. Might work out cheaper or same cost of you sending your block over to the US and back.

Luckely I got a B16 which I ordered Darton mid sleeves for but even that was a nightmare to find someone to sleeve in the UK but eventually I did. Good luck

If you contact Darton East at DartonEast@darton-international.com they can supply you with a block with the sleeves already installed. The shop usually can ship them the same day. Blocks are ready to go and already bored to specific bore sizes off the shelf.

I know of a company that can sleeve it for me. I just wanted some infomation on aftermarket b20 sleeves and what ones to use.
