Is wastegate suppose to be open at idle?
I just noticed that my wastegate is slightly open at idle enough to feel exhaust gas coming out. I took it apart but nothing looks out of place, its a tial knockoff from dna motoring. There is a nut inside that i loosened so the valve could close but it still opens up with a little pressure. Im thinking it was just made wrong? I think its causing me to lose power and making me spool late. Also theres a guy selling a tial WG on craigslist for 150 should i go for it or try to fix mines?

fire ring is installed correctly. When i tap the thottle slightly it closes up . WG is working fine too. Side port is going to vacuum manifold . Top port is going to my MBC. I was just curious because i thought i might be losing power because of it.

muckman i was talking about the Wastegate. I ended up getting the tial for 130 which i think is a great price. I noticed a lot of differences BIG time! Fully closed at idle. No ,more exhaust gas leak sound. Also spooling much sooner and sounds better!
All thats good now but now i have another problem =[
I have a slight fluctuating idle from 1000rpm to 1200. I checked for vacuum leaks and couldnt find any. I got my car tuned 2 days ago and prior to getting it tuned it was fine on the basemap. Think my tuner did something wrong?
