Default Vortech vs. Jackson Racing

I am looking at supercharging my 99 civic si and i am not sure if i should go with Vortech or Jackson Racing. The problem i am having is that Vortech is about twice as much as Jackson Racing, but the vortech will give me 277hp with 175 ft/lbs and i want to know is the vortech that much better than the jackson racing supercharger.

my friend has JRSC...it's nice...i'd probably get one because of the price if i wasn't so into doing a turbo...but i've heard good things about both...i've also heard that it takes more time to install vortech then jackson...alternator relocation i think not sure though...someone else might have to answer on that...but it's all on how much your willing to spend...but i'm sure you can get jackson and a good ems possibly tuned for the cost of vortech.

From what I've read from diffrent forums about this topic is that the vortech is kinda like a turbo where it has to kinda spool up and then you'll be at fool boost and the jackson is always at boost ready to go the very second you put your foot on the pedal. Just look at a dyno chart of a vortech and a jackson and you'll see that jackson superchargers are dyno queens just cause they have such straight flat lines compared to everything else but yet they dont put out as much power but there are guys that are in the low 13's, high 12's with stock boost on a jackson, but they did alot gutting out on there cars.

the jrsc will take off but the vortech will win in the long run...i've seen a lot of Si's with jrsc run good times mostly 13's...i'd go with jrsc because of the price...if you do a lot of street racing...get a jackson...because you probably won't get going that fast anyways.
