Turbo w/mildly built B16a2 Saab T3 .42 .48 turbo
Im getting a stock B16a2 that im getting from a friend, it has bad rings so im gonna be rebuilding the bottom end internals (rods and pistons) and over bore it to 81.5 to start fresh. It already has a turbo kit on it now my friend peiced together which includes a Blox turbo exhaust manifold, DSM 450 injectors w/resistor pack, tial 38mm wastegate, DSM BOV, Saab T3 .42 .48 turbo, downpipe, intercooler piping and intercooler.
I plan on upgrading to delphi injectors, along with the dsm bov to a better bov, and the bottom end internals.
It was ran with a SAFC and made good power with the stock engine but im wondering since im rebuilding the bottom end to handle more, is that Saab T3 turbo gonna be too small and not worth it if i have the motor built for more power?
I cant find any info on this turbo. All i know is that its a T3 from a Saab with .42 and .48... Im trying to figure out what this turbo can make for power and if its worth it to keep on a built motor? Or if I should sell it and get a lil bigger one to get me to my goals of 300+hp...
Any info/advice would be nice.
