Just saying that the CSS will allow for lower cylinder temps because alum transfers heat so much faster than cast iron. I know there are a lot of sleeved cars running on the street in tx.

New pistons, oil pump, bearings, repair the head and concrete an LS block is in the near future to get this car up and running again on the cheap lol Im bored wihout my car and dont really want to drop thousands of dollars on this car any time soon. Will also be adding a second wastegate to the manifold for proper boost control.

If the head is not repairable, I'll be on the look out for a GSR head

Woo hoo! Get her done Justin! After tomorrow, I have exactly a month to get use to the car before the first IFO. It will be the first time in ten years since I have raced at the drag strip. I am just keeping my fingers crossed that she stays together on the dyno tomorrow morning. Just like I told my friends, we are either going to break 500whp or break the motor. Hopefully I will break the 500whp mark. Haha.

Unless the valve seats are destroyed, you should be able to hand work the bowls and quench pads to get rid of any potential hot spots. Then just copy the cc's you wind up with in the other chambers. This is after all not going to be a daily driver correct?

I just may fool around with the quench areas and re-shape them to clean it up OR have the shop do it for me if I don't have time. Depends what it will all cost. The head has bronze guides and all the goodies and would hate to have to buy all that stuff again etc.. trying to do this as cheap as possible and get it running and retuned on the new block and with properly controlled boost. The goal will be 600whp with the concrete block

Yeah, from what I understand it's the research number straight up.

There's a big table here with the conversions on.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Octane_rating
This is our 95.

"EuroSuper" or "EuroPremium" or "Regular unleaded" in Europe, "SP95" in France RON95 MON85–86 AKI90–91

Any more info on the "concrete" block? I've heard of the devcon blocks and was thinking about trying it out on my next setup.

you use Moroso block filler or Hardblock filler. can be purchased through summitracing. Its not an epoxy like Devcon. Its like a blend of cement and other addatives
