And yet no one here talks about boost pressure with a particular turbocharger? What good is giving your brother's-sister's-cousin's-former-roomate's boost pressure without the specific turbocharger mentioned, nor the setup or use needed?
It all depends on what you use.....

Compression doesn't. Hange how inch the sleeves can handle but it does change detonation threshold. 11:1 on pump is about as high as you should go and it's not recommended

It's the same difference of power between an NA motor and a boosted motor, when comparing connecting rod loads. Big NA power is harsher on rods and rod bolts, compared to turbo, when all things are accounted for (no EGT's, no inefficiencies, etc..) Just basing this on strictly power output at the crankshaft. NA power occurs faster and combustion event happens quicker, so the peak load is higher. It is the peak force, that likes to crack out sleeves.
400 WHP/300 WTQ, for example, on a 8.0:1 CR motor with all variables accounted for will be much softer and easier on the engine internals compared to a 12.5:1 CR motor, even though both motors can be fed will plenty of octane and detonation is not a factor.

Shodan is right in all cases. I have a High comp H22 and I am yet to turbo it because I dont want to blow it up using the wrong turbo setup. You can most deff make 350whp of a ebay kit with a really good tune. But in my opinion you will blow it before making 350whp with your setup. My friend sold a sohc turbo eg and dude blew it up at 30psi on ebay kit stock bore. But its all on how you build it. I would go for a more realistic number like 250whp. Hope I was some type of help.

Just slap turbo on, go for low hp numbers until u get pistons and rods
Im running 7psi out of a 50a/r turbo bone stock sir b16 no prob
Im just slowly building a block on the side, I'll have it done in about a year
Low hp number for a year isn't gunna hurt with a good tune
psi doesn't matter it's tuning and size of turbo anyway

HX35 is too big for your setup, I would look into a 60 trim.
As for internals, if you are serious about building it, Eagle rods, srp or wiseco pistons, supertech valvesprings/valves/retainers, bc or skunk2 cams, ARP head studs... That would be your cheapest route.
Or if you don't want to get into all that stuff, just ARP rod bolts/head studs for the bottom end, and build the head, supertech valvetrain, skunk2 cams... Mild port and polish if you have the cash. I would keep the compression ratio to around 10.0:1, I don't know what engine you have though?

hmmm. Actually for the D16s, the HX35 and HY35 series are about 48lbs/min -51lbs/min depending upon the model. The T3/T04E 60 trim is about 53lbs/min. the issue is integrating it with the correct downpipe and exhaust manifold, since the HX series (at least to me) are kind of a pain to work with.

its not hard with the right tune/setup my friend made 407hp@15psi 35r 81mm lsv with 10.5 pistons,stock head n another did 602hp@15psi 42r 11.5 piston n built head h2b both on pump gas...
