Default Turbo CIvic spark plug gap? Already searched

Why is it that they always say for turbo gapped to .030? my car is 9.2.1 comp wahts is the dif?

they say to gap it to .03 for stock ignitions mainly because otherwise the spark will blow out if the gap is too large. Especially with more boost, it is more prone to blow out the spark, so you gap it smaller in order to make it not blow out.

Thanks!!! So Im runnig 6psi but later this week going to raise the boost should just keep it to .030

yes, you should be just dandy with .030 gap, that is what I was running on my 7 psi b16, but I am going to gap it tighter to about .028 with 14 psi.

We run anywhere from 0.024-0.028" on higher boost
