Default Tunerview II DIY install, pics, details, check it out!!!

I will start this thread by saying this install is pretty simple, but you must have some tools, mechanical inclination and computer knowledge. Start by unpacking all of the box contents. Download the latest tunerview II software from hrtuning.com. Plug the tunerview II into your computer with the provided usb cable. Select your ecu, pick your engine parameters and sensors, then program the unit. Once the unit is programmed, (see hrtuning.com) everything else is done in the car. This particular DIY is for EG civics (more custom kits to come...).

Step 1. Remove the radio or a/c controls. (This particular unit will replace the radio)

Step 2. Draw a line on the bottom of the tunerview with a marker about 1/16th of an inch at the bottom.

Step 3. Using a belt sander (yes I said belt sander) sand the line off of the board.

Step 4. Insert the unit into the radio opening and line up the LCD with the trim bezel.

Step 5. Once aligned, drill small holes (I used 7/64 bit) in the plastic where the tunerview holes line up. Only 3 out of 4 holes will line up. Also plug the provided CN2 plug into the unit. (Harness location will vary depending on ECU, see hrtuning.com for details)

Step 6. Use the provided nuts and bolts to mount the unit. Use the nut on the top left hole as a spacer like this.

Step 7. Screw the remaining bolts into the plastic and reach around the back and secure them with the provided nuts.

Step 8. Apply double sided tape to the top and bottom of the LCD to mount the trim bezel.

Step 9. Peel the film from double sided tape off, mount the 2 switches through the trim bezel and secure it to the LCD like this.

Step 10. If you have neptune/ectune plug the other side of the CN2 harness into your ECU and enjoy! If you have S300/K-PRO plug the other side of the CN2 harness into the provided USB module. Then plug your USB cable from your ECU into it. The green wire from the module MUST go to swithced TRUE IGNITION and the white wire to ground.

Everything you need to install this in your EG is available including the trim bezels! Hope you guys enjoy!

Looks good young man!! Luckily I have a 96-98 hatch where I can put the radio down below and tunerview in the actual radio section. Do you plan to do one in a 96-00 civic in the coming weeks? I will figure something out its pretty much the same thing as yours but seeing it first would be nice!

Thanks guys. With the pre made trim bezels, this install really is easy. I had more trouble with programming it, than installing it. I am not very good with computers tho...

EK's are easy. If you have 96-98 put the radio down below and the Tunerview up top where the radio's original location was. Pretty much the same thing he did in his EG. 99-00 would be a little trickier.

true.

and the 99 would be hard as well. abs plastic and cut it out local radio place could do that
