Default For those of you using TunerToys oil pressure sender fitting...

How tight did you tighten that thing into the block? It says 13 ft/lbs in the instructions but I can't get my torque wrench in there.

I have it hand tight right now, I mean I tightened the **** out of it with my hands but I can still move it easily with a wrench. I would tighten it another revolution but Im worried of cracking something...

I've tried to use torque wrench and torque it to 13 ft. lbs and the end of it broked . Don't torque it down, just tighten it w/o the using torque wrench until it gets tight to the feel. IF you know what I mean. NO problem doing it this way.

Wrap it a few times with teflon, but do not let the tape go beyond the threads (farther into the block than the fitting). Then get it fairly snug, then fire it up. If it leaks, give it a quarter turn. Let it weep a bit if it still does, let cool, then 1/4 turn again.

The key is to put as little stress on the threads as you can, as the fitting's weight is already enough to crack the block if you hit a good sized bump/pot hole.

Okay well I only have it half threaded in right now, so does that mean I should tighten in more?
