Default T4 P trim versus GT35R versus GT40R - turbine wheel comparison ?'s

I thought I'd post asking about differences in turbine wheels/housings.

How do these compare in flow, SPOOL, and power potential (given the same compressor wheel)?

It looks like the T4 P trim is larger physically than the GT35R turbine wheel, but smaller than the GT40R turbine wheel.

GT35R 0.82 a/r T4 flanged undivided housing - 62.3 mm exducer, 68 mm inducer

T4 P trim turbine with 0.68 a/r tangential undivided housing - 64.6 mm exducer, 74.2 mm inducer

GT40R 0.95 or 0.85 a/r T4 flanged divided housing - 68mm exducer, 77 mm inducer

The GT35R turbine wheel will support flow levels similar to the P Trim turbine wheel.

who has a turbine map of a p-trim to compare it to a GT35 turbine? Ive only seen the turbine map off of the gt35, but never a P-trim to claim it flows more. Not saying it does or doesnt, just dont have proof. I can say that by going from a GT35R T4 .68AR to a PT67R .68AR T4 I gained 120whp, but there are other stuf that changed other than the turbo for me to make that power.

did it spool much slower? did you gain that power on the same boost?

Turbine can be made to flow more but it's efficiency in terms of mechanical energy transfer is what really matters.

Right, but what proof of a P-trim do we have?

Arturbo-did it spool a lot slower with the pt67r, care to elaborate more?

spooled the same.

Justin, where are you getting at with the demensions of the wheels. I know what they are too but not sure what you are trying to get across. Have anything for the p-trim in print?

Based on wheel size alone (ignoring design and efficiency), this is what I gather.

Spool:
GT35R&gt;P trim&gt;GT40R
Power:
GT40R&gt;P trim&gt;GT35R

The big question for me, I know the GT35R turbine would spool faster than the P trim and I've heard it flows about the same, but how does the P trim compare to the GT40R with spool (given the same compressor side- I know the GT40R would flow more and it is slightly larger- it appears to be about the same size as a Q trim T4 wheel)?

Justin

Are you hinting that if the turbine map shows similar flow, spool will be very similar between a GT35R (large 1.06 a/r turbine housing) and GT40R (small 0.85 a/r turbine housing)?

I'm just trying to show as much info as I can find. From reading more last night, I found this about the P-trim vs gt35R:

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by tony1 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">
Basically, the 35R wheel will flow similar to the P trim wheel with the right combination of housings.</TD></TR></TABLE>

and it does so with a much smaller polar moment of inertia </TD></TR></TABLE>
