Suggestions on intercooler/WG/BOV setup for 400whp
Here is my setup as of now: *its not in the car yet*
b18c1 bottom end:
bored to 82mm
CP 10:0:1 Pistons
LS Manley Turbo Rods
LS CRANK
b18c5 head:
Full skunk 2 valve train
Stock factory ports with intake side ported from factory
Turbo: Turbonetics .63 trim
Wastegate: Turbosmart 38mm
Bov: none
intercooler: small godspeed but its only rated for 300-350 so looking for other choices
Now this is my daily so im going to be keeping it at 400whp for street use
I want to get a tial wastegate but im not sure if I need 38mm or 50mm and for the blow off valve im taking suggestions, I was thinking either HKS or a OG Blitz im not too concerned about how loud it pshhhhh but if it works good and does the loud pshhhh I wouldnt mind haha. Also im trying to keep the intercooler on a budget because in reality its just fins so it doesnt matter if it is brand name or ebay but I just need it to hold 400hp fine and was wondering what you guys recommend.
Thanks guys, any help is appreciated (y) happy thanksgiving!

Re: Suggestions on intercooler/WG/BOV setup for 400whp
As far as the BOV, just get a name brand that fits the flange on your piping (if you already have the piping). Just don't get an ebay BOV. With the intercooler, they are not all created equal. An ebay intercooler will not be as efficient as a quality intercooler with say a Garret core. If your on a budget then I've heard good things about the Vibrant intercooler and they can be found for a good price, although, I have not used one myself.

yea def stay clear of ebay. I hear about boost creep and bs issues all the time. However some people make it work. If you're going to spend your money would you want to buy something that isn't tried and true and then buy the correct thing the second time? probably not, it might take you longer but you'll have quality instead of spare junk laying around that cost you more time and money

ok you going to hate me but i hope thats not 400whp on 82mm stock sleeves. i think thats cutting it a bit too close for comfort. i believe the general consensus is that 82mm can work for motor but not on forced induction.
that out of the way, honestly you cant go wrong with the cx racing intercoolers/piping kits. im using a larger cx racing intercooler and it certainly helped over the precision 600 core i had. my setup needed 6-8% more fuel above 7000 rpm. just make sure you have and are using t bolt clamps
