Default STOCK GSR MOTOR BURNING OIL ????

UPDATE****
nov-2008
installed a turbo kit rebuilt the head new gaskets(valve stem seals, cams,)
the black box on the back of the block i took it out n installed a catch can

dyno time n the smoke was coming out of the catch can n it filled up so quick

apil 2009
due a trip a parked my car for 2 months came back to drag race, daly driven and booom
no more smoke why? i dont know
wondering if the engine size up or what.....
problem fixed LOL

I NEED HELP FINDING OUT WHAT IS MY PROBLEM
I HAVE 00' GSR SWAP NEVER BOOSTED BUT 5 MONTH AGO ON I STARTED TO BURN OIL LIKE 1QRT EVERY 500 MILES THERES NOT A DRIP OF OIL ON MY GARAGE WHERE I PARK MY CAR EVERYDAY I DID A LEAK DOWN TEST ALREADY AND IT WAS 1st >98-2nd>99-3rd>99-4th>97 the maximum lost was 3psi on cylinder 4 ...
i turn on the car in the morning i can see lil bit of smoke ; at idle on normal driving conditons is fine, but if i hit the gas and shift harder i can see a lot smoke through the rear view mirror.
THE GUY WHO DID THE LEAK DOWN TEST TOLD ME THAT IT COULD BE THE ( VALVE STEAM SEALS OR BORE DISTORTION ON THE CYLINDER WALLS)
WHAT DO YOU THINK MY PROBLEM IS??? HAS ANYONE HAD BORE DISTORTION ON THE BLOCK OR VALVE STEAM SEALS PROBLEM ??????
OOHHH I FORGOT TO MENTION THE COLANT ON MY OVERFILL TANK IS LIL BIT DIRTY LOOKS LIKE OIL NOT SURE ITS A SMALL PERCENT... IM GOING TO BOOST MY MOTOR SOON SO I NEED TO KNOW WHATS THE NEXT STEP? ... HOPE THIS INFORMATION HELPS
THANK YOU

If its burning that much oil i would deffinatly rebuild before you turbo it

blinx9900 is completely correct. A friend of mine had the same problem a while back on his GSR and found out it was his rings. Definitely build it before you boost. Good luck with everything.

piston rings?????
but if i did the leak down testn and was fine....i dont tink 3psi lost is much
here is how he did it:
the guy put 100psi by the spark plug hole on each cylinder once at the time and we also check for air noise on the intake, exhaust and removed the oil cap...he was showing me where the pressure loose goes to]

also i dont feel any power loose my car is running strong hope to be running mid 14's on it while i get my turbo kit...

back on topic anyone else ???
i apreciated

do a comp test and see what it reads. Idk why your leakdown numbers are so low though. I will tell you that my stock gsr with 93k on it had some oil burning issues and when i leak down tested it my lowest number was 17% and my highest 23%. So i rebuilt the block to what i needed it for boost. I HIGHLY suggest you do the same.

a leakdown and compression test wont tell you when the oil control rings are worn. nor will they tell you if your valve stem seals are worn out. both of which are common on honda B-series engines.

a re-build before you boost would be a good idea.

other thing is that i re-place 2 weeks ago the stock GSR intake manifold because i always found oil on the intake pipe im using now the skunk2 pro-series i dont see oil on the pipe anymore....i think the way the runners are help that////

RE-BUILD????
dam i was hoping to recive different answers because already spent a lot of money with the turbo kit, but can i install the turbo kit on my car if i watch the oil level? or
if not
why i can't use the re-build kit on my stock sleeve and use the stock gsr pistons?
i heard i need to bore and hone with a deck plate 81.5mm for better engine build
is that true????

lmk guys
thanks in advance

if you are going to go through the trouble of pulling the engine out to have it bored/honed you may as well put aftermarket forged pistons into it. the stock pistons are known to melt and crack ring lands if not tuned correctly. sure you might be safe for a while but they will not hold up to prolonged abuse.
