Default smoke or steam coming from vented catchcan on turbo d16

ok I have my car turboed so I decided to install a catchcan. I have the pcv valve removed and have one hose coming from where it use to be to the catchcan and the vacume on the manifold blocked off and the other from the breather on the valve cover and then I drilled a few small holes in the top of the catchcan for a vent. and theres steam or smoke coming from the holes. is this normal?

yea its normal. it should go away within a few minutes of start up. if you are on the dyno. you might notice it puffing away in the upper rpm range.

yea, thats wht happens when you crank spin. you piston move up and down. create pressure in crankcase, which make air come out your holes.

It depends on how much, but a small amount is normal.

I have a vented catchcan (Endyn Breather) on my turbo engine. On the dyno saturday when my tuner was doing full throttle pulls mine would puff out some smoke in the upper rev range. It started to clear out a little towards the end which is good. My engine also has only about 800 miles on it since the rebuild. Some smoke is normal from what I know
