Please help, I'm stumped!
Okay, here's the situation:
I start the car and it has trouble idling. It kinda sputters/misses. I try to keep blipping the throttle to keep the RPM's up, but at soon as the RPMs reach 2.5k - 3k the car tries to shut off. The dash lights will flicker on/off, and the AVC-R will keep turning on and off...kinda like the car is turning on/off very quickly. After it does that for a while the car will eventually die.
I haven't driven the car for a few months, but I went to my parent's house to start it up every now and then. Compression and everything was fine before I parked it.
Here's the other wierd part, it did this with the stock injectors, and stock ignition with a MSD blaster SS coil. I just changed the setup to DSM 450's, SMC plus, MSD BTM w/ Blaster SS coil, and it's doing the same exact thing!
I replaced the rotor, wires and plugs. All of the engine grounds are fine. My battery is on it's way out, but I don't think that's it.
Does anyone have ANY ideas?

I had this same situation when my eeprom chip in my hondata was loose. Sounds like a bad ground, or possible something ecu related. I'd check all electrical connections, and if you are running hondata check your eeprom chip.

Re: Please help, I'm stumped! (boosted hybrid)
I finally got around to checking the car out.
I checked all the grounds and everything looks OK. Can any of this be caused by the main relay? One time after the car died, there was a LOUD buzz from the main relay. Now I noticed that when I turn the key to the accessory position, there is a constant audible clicking coming from the main relay.
I don't think that the symptoms that I'm having is common with a bad main relay though. I'm going to switch it out today to check.
Any ideas?

well, check the fuses for one...
I had a car sit outside all winter, and when i went to start it come spring, nothing happened. A mouse got inside my dash and had a hayday with the wiring...I was pissed...
other than that..um...try getting a new battery. You might be surprised at what that can do...

Get your alternator checked. Do you have a battery light come on when the car is running? Just trying to throw another possibility at ya.

Tinker219: I already replaced the battery and checked the fuses. Is there anything else i should check, or should I just push this thing off of a bridge? maybe a mouse got into my wiring too.
i3oricua: the battery light doesn't come when the car is running, i'll check the alternator though.

Possible faulty ignition switch. Mainrelay will click/chatter based on the ignition switch.
One more variable in the equation.
