re: Supersilver's DC2-New Build questions: new goal 677whp
Yea it needed to get done. I was waiting on the rebuild. And i was trying to go custom paint .... but then i thought about how hard it would be to fix it if i got a door ding or a shopping cart hit it, Because NO MATTER HOW FAR AWAY YOU PARK YOUR CAR IN THE PARKING LOT , SOMEONE FINDS A WAY TO DENT YOUR FRESHLY PAINTED CAR.... ive painted 3 integras and 1 jdm front conversion, it always happens... so i got the color of a dealer car that way its easy to match.
I bought the car in northern california. No rust , matter of fact i dont think cars rust much at all out here.

In the market for looking for a hot parts kit.
Mani / downpipe/ wastegate / intercooler setup
Trying to get used from a seller for 1400 but im having a hard time getting ahold of this guy...
Anyone have any recommendations?
Also top mount vs ramhorn.... I read the sticky... but matched with this turbo.... Im thinking top mount may be overkill.....

No, you don't need a 44mm. you're fine with a 38mm
*EDIT* You're on a BW360.
If you're using the car for any street purpose on lower boost (under 14psi), then yes, you need a 44mm. If staying with higher boost (over 14psi-17psi or more), the 38mm can still function.
For a Forward facing or top mount manifold, definitely go for the 44mm.

re: Supersilver's DC2-New Build questions: new goal 677whp
ran into a hard decision today...
I can purchase a BWR front facing manifold with backdoor kellybuilt intercooler for 1200 used...
or i can get a sheepey inc top mount hot parts kit for about the same price if not cheaper, brand new...
What do you guys think?

Ordered sheepey top mount kit and s300 yesterday will let you know how it goes, also looking for skunk2 pro1s , 4040 proportion valve and lines.
Garrett core intercoolers in the works, does anyone know what cores the mishimoto ones are? The eat sleep race intercoolers would look good with the orange...

re: Supersilver's DC2-New Build questions: new goal 677whp
Made some progress today. spent about 4 hours removing interior, trim and sanding door jams to get ready for paint. Removed clips and still am waiting on my buddy to help me remove doors and hatch. Its easier if you have one guy holding the doors while the other removes so you dont get any more dents.
Hopefully next post I will be in primer... we will see. Engine bay and door jams are ready to be shot with primer.

re: Supersilver's DC2-New Build questions: new goal 677whp
Had a break from work and school...
I attempted to remove side moldings but, they bent a little during the process. so i decided to shave the doors. .... I have an appointment on monday to get them welded at a local shop. Here are the prep pics.
The car is tottally gutted, sold old turbo kit and injectors. I am waiting for a friend to come over to help me remove the sun roof assembly while i back out the bolts... i dont want to chance breaking the glass... will post pics after its welded and smoothed on monday....

both sides of car has been welded and grinded down smooth. I need to apply a thin layer of bondo and block it so the curves are nice and consistent. no bacon crap.
also decided to weld up holes that were made to pull the dent behind drivers door...
see you next update

Still waiting on parts like the s300, its been 3 weeks now.
Also, when I ordered the skunk 2 pro1s it states one of the recommendations is to buy the lost motion assembly by skunk2... not sure if this is required.... i have full supertech valvetrain.

Lookin good dude. It would drive me crazy waiting this long to get the car going. I'm sure it will turn out just the way you want it though.
Why pro1 cams for 400whp? Seems itr or even gsr cams would work fine and probably have better drivability and less valve train wear. Maybe I missed this conversation earlier in your thread...

After I started the build I kept getting better and better ideas on what to do. Since I was painting the entire thing, I might as well do the doorjambs, then WAIT the engine bay...OOO wait now I am going to remove the sound dead crap on the inside this weekend with some dry ice....
I am on hold from my paint guy because his helper bailed on a better job (cant blame him for going to oracle) but I kept changing my perspective on what I wanted. I want to do it right, I want it to be clean and I dont want it to be a trailer queen.....
I have other cars an infinity and other hondas but the body work took alot of work. Alot of detail....
I will attempt to paint the inside when it is fully gutted just like the car in the thread above...

here is the first attempt at the sound deadening removal. In the back of the car it is super easy, in the front where your feet goes its double layerd... I need more dry ice... but I will get some more tommorrow. I also need to get a torch and scrape the leftovers...
it came off pretty easily with the dry ice, I was impressed!
