1000cc injectors should have a lot more room to grow before duly cycle is maxed. I'd suggest getting a fuel pressure gauge and monitoring it for pressure loss.

ok here's what I see with that setup- b16 cams and a Victor x.
b16 cams suck and the plenumvon the victor x is kinda big for the 1.6 L especially with a 68 mm tb.
all in all its not bad but id venture to say that even gsr cams and a itr or whatever im will improve the power band.

What does your boost curve look like. The torque on the graph doesn't really peak until way up in rpm. While this is still a 1.6l with a 6262, the torque curve should have a different shape to it.
Have you done a boost leak test and make sure your wastegate is operating properly.

Yeah at 12 even with stock b16 gen 2 cams id expect more....I have a gen 2 stock setup with a spoolin log and a older 57 trim t3/t4 and at 7psi im pushing just over 250 @ the wheels for a dynojet.....I also don't have a victor X but the fuel system shouldn't be the downfall here unless you are losing fuel pressure from the pump....
I'd check for boost leaks

That does seem pretty low but maybe at 12psi thats the most you can get our of your set up safely? Talk to your tuner about it?

He stated his 1000s were at maximum duty cycle. That tells me something is up with his fuel delivery.
Cams are holding you back as well, but simply put, your not flowing enough air to max those injectors@ 300whp . Boost leak or no boost leak. My 2 cents.

You need a fuel pressure gauge. How do you know for sure what your fuel pressure is after getting an adjustable regulator?
You might be at 30 psi or less... that could explain why your 1000 cc injectors are maxxed out at only 300who..

How about we forget about the cams for just a minute here, guys. Cams are not his problem. Fuel is.
OP, install a fuel gauge and see what kind of pressures you're getting, and bench test your FPR.

Hey guys, maybe I'm seeing things but it looks like there is a fuel pressure gauge in the pictures.
No way you should be maxing 1000cc injectors on stock fuel pressure at 300hp. I would check your fuel pressure first. If the base pressure is correct you have to be dropping pressure in the upper rpms could be a bad pump or clogged filter...

Damn. I'm running FID 1000's with e85 on my b16 and the duty cycle is only at 63% at 8k on 6psi. Definitely something going on with yours. Your injectors should not be close to being maxed out

Re: My new turbo b16a2 setup barely making 300hp after tune??
Question..not with regards to the fuel system but was 12psi all you were able to get from the turbo and is that a real SPA manifold or a copy?
Just curious if it were a copy because of any possibility for a crack in the casting that would have kept the turbo from keeping any effective boost on the motor through its powerband....
Id check compression too unless it's forsure a certainty that the fault is in the fuel system

Re: My new turbo b16a2 setup barely making 300hp after tune??
This is clearly a fuel issue. If it was boost leak, he wouldnt be maxxing his injectors out at 300whp lol.
Probably fuel filter clogged, or something wrong with the pump. Like was said, find a way to monitor fuel pressure, and honestly, get a new tuner.
I would freak if I saw 100% DC on ID1000's at 300hp lol. Also, why a -8 feed to rail? Not saying thats a problem but it does seem way oversized for the goal.

Re: My new turbo b16a2 setup barely making 300hp after tune??
It's an actual SPA manifold. 12 psi was all we could get at the moment. Compression on each cylinder i just checked is 180-190 all around.
To the person asking about the fuel line. I had gotten a new fuel filter and required a different line setup when i purchased the fuel rail it came with the -8an feed so i went with it.
Actually going to check with the tuner again today. Supposedly we are going to replace the walbro 255 that's in the tank for a new one today. Let you know if the setup is still only making 300hp.
We were going to do E85 to begin with but in LA there only two stations available that are around 3 hours away from where i am at.
