Max HP on stock B18C1 internals
This one is for those of you with B18C1 (integra gsr motor)...What's the most horsepower you have produced on stock internals, safely? I am aware that on stock internals, it's kind of a hit or miss type of deal, but if I can get an idea that'd be great...I'm just looking to get an idea of some numbers here so that I know if i'll really need to forge the motor. Thanks.

BTW: So far, the most i've heard (on stock internals) is 382WHP...but then again, they could be experiencing some problems in the near future...

The entire engine stock...block, head, transmission, etc...well, aftermarket clutch obviously because the stock one wouldn't last very long when you're pusing a decent bit of power.

we made 450whp on a stock lsvtec. I know its not considered stock we also ran it to 9750rpms and ran a 11.2 pass @ the track in a 4 door integra. The motor is still runing in non boosted form till today!

i debated with myself for a while about this. If its worth having it will take patience and work. I built my b18c2 with eagle rods and wiseco pistons. I don’t regret it. building at least with that so you can turn it up and turn it up some more

Not to jack the thread but you cut some corners. what i mean is you didnt get it sleeved nor did you get the crank micro polished. I wouldnt recommend just pistons and rods since the sleeves give on whp applications.

wtf? Not having a block sleeved is not cutting corners buddy. Stock sleeves can handle a nice amount of power with pistons and rods and a solid tune. There is a limit, but just because the block is not sleeved does not mean that he cut corners on his build. If he was looking for 550whp + I would probably recommend a sleeved block. Not to mention that there are members on here making 600+ on stock sleeves and race gas.

The stock motor can handle some power, just depends on the condition of the motor, who's tuning it, and how it'll be used IMO.
I've made 450whp/325tq on my old stock motor - 30,000+ miles on the setup and countless passes, and that thing is still running strong from what I hear.
We made 560whp/440tq on Gussy's stock motor in his street car - needless to say it did end up throwing a rod, but the purpose of it was to see if it can handle it.
In my opinion, you can reliably make 350-400whp on pump, anything over is getting and it's a coin toss.

Re: Max HP on stock B18C1 internals
I was wondering how much a block guard actually helps? How much more power will just a stock block with a block guard take?
