Sorry I can't help with a pic. I'm just having difficulty believing that any place would tow a car over an exhaust.

my friend has a 3" in/out on his turbo'd civic and he's won in court because its baffled. however your car will be louder. its kind of retarded but the straight through magnaflow sounds nicer and its quieter but illegal.

Here it is. Cops in ottawa and in quebec will DB meter cars if they are trained to. Now the basic test they do is they stick a 20-24 rod down your exhaust and if it goes in its a straight threw and will ticket you. But the mustangs or CRX with a non stright mounted muffler dont get nailed. They just get nailed for loud exhaust not inproper.
So i wanted something baffled and quiet. What i may do is get a magnaflow straight threw and mount it high as i can and make the exit pipe do a 45deg then another at 45 so they can not stick there sticks in.
Or i may just make my own muffler with internal baffles that looks stock.

in quebec they dont do db testing. they just hand you out a ticket. i have a DA so my exhaust is sideways so they cant stick their stupid sticks in it. they just give me a not conform exhaust ticket. they dont ask you to pop your hood either. not yet any ways.

The Turbo XL muffler is baffled for sure, but I don't have a pic to illustrate it. However, it is still pretty restrictive and loud as well.
Without compromising power and flow, I would get a dual tip Magnaflow muffler, like #12590, and then run two 90deg and merge into one exhaust tip.
You can also get a Varex muffler, which has electronic valve/butterfly built inside. Close it and nobody can stick anything through it...lol

Hey tony i like that idea but im not sure i can make it fit a 94 civic coupe. Ill have to measure it up. Ive heard not good things on the Magnaflow XL. Im pulling more towards a dynomax superturbo muffler only problem is its not stainless.
MTL the cops are nice there. Ottawa the cops are just pure ********, I dunno why but they are nailing every car for everything. Its like T.O was in the dark night days.

I remember coming from Toronto back to the U.S. and OPP tried to give me a ticket. I sent the magistrate a copy of the Exhaust Noise DB statute and stated that because I was a U.S. resident, Ottawa rules don't apply. I explained to them that its like me coming into the country w/ a wheel chair that wasn't to Ontario spec. What was I to do? WALK while I'm visiting Toronto?
The magistrate didn't push the matter further and I got out of it. O.P.P cops think they know the law, but they really don't.
Keep a copy of that statute, and it can save you.

Dude that would suck getting harrased by the OPP when your from the US.
They give everyone tickets here for loud exhaust yet everytime you go to fight it you say there was no DB test and the ticket is tossed out. **** this has been going on since 1997 its retarded.

Re: magna flow Turbo XL muffler anyone have a outlet inside pic
^^ Check out the new Varex muffler.. It has an electronic butterfly valve that you can open and close with a remote; while it is closed, it routes the exhaust through a chambered baffle. That means you can close the butterfly and still drive the car and it will be dead silent and quieter than stock actually. Because the plate is closed, you can let cops stick anything in there as they wish and it won't pass through, including their own d*ck.
I have the same muffler on my Camry... It's not on there long enough to make a statement about reliability, so I will have to drive it through this winter to find out of the butterfly and motor won't burn out or fail in a short time. So far so good though.
