LS VTEC vs. "poor man's type r"
I know the LS VTEC will make more power. The LS block is cheaper than the GSR, but wouldn't the labor cost offset the difference in price if you go with the LS? Also, I want reliability. Don't laugh. I'm serious. This is my only car. If I throw a B18C bottom end in there with my B16A head and tune it to 10 psi with my Greddy and S200B, do you see any reason to build the bottom end?

Poor man's ITR is a good setup because the GSR engine well started life as a VTEC motor and is well balanced from the factory, the LS/VTEC is a bad *** set up but when you want to start revving it up and making real POWER I feel it needs to be fully balanced and the proper work done for it to run truely to it's potential, the LS crank has stroke of 89mm and it is a torque monster. If you are to build up totally then the LS is NICE due to the torque capabilities of it, don;t be fooled either there are alot of people out there with GSR blocks but with LS cranks making ungodly power too.

poor man type r is good, but my favor goes to lsvtec. Built it right, that motor will stomp on poor man r any time.
