If you have a turbo car with rsr exmag or world sport please chime in.
I am suprised to say I didint find any concrete info when i searched before making this post. I cant believe I am the only one that has had these questions, so here we go.
I am in the process of putting together a turbo setup for my ls-t 92 civic sedan. I picked the sedan for the stealthness (trying to stay under the cops radar) and just because I like the idea of having 4 doors and some ***** under the hood without shellin out cash for an evo.
I need an exhaust to go with this theme. My original plan for exhaust was an rsr exmag. I know its not the ideal exhaust for turbo but how much can it hurt power production? Anybody got an experiance????? Looking for someone with first hand experiance.
The other options i have given my self is 3 inch kteller piping w/ 18 inch resonator and a 3 inch black vibrant muffler. Will that sound similar to the rsr exmag??? To loud????? Let me know.

I would suggest going with a 22" resonator with that muffler. I have yet to here any 3" exhaust being close to the RSR, but then again 3", is almost 25% bigger than an RSR so being slightly louder is to be expected. With a 22" resonator and that muffler especially with a turbo, it should be pretty low key.

The kteller is going to be substantially louder than the rsr by far. The rsr is by far one of the best sounding exhausts I have heard (because I have one for my theft recovery itr im finishing) as for the kteller sounding like it, i would highly doubt it. As for power goals I don’t think the rsr would be the best route to go. if you dont want that raspy sound it would be a good idea to consider it.
i hope this helps some

- How was power production compared to setups similar to yours using a more turbo freindly exhaust, what was the difference in power? 10? 20? 30? whp
- How was spool up compared to similar setups with a more turbo friendly exhaust?
-Do you have any video or sound clips??????

my friend has a RS-R exmag GT II on his evo 8. hes running a T67 and his exmag is 3 inches all the way.
when he took the cat off his exhaust, he picked up 30 whp in his evo.

Well I ran it on my car with a 3" E-cutout for a while. , spooled about the same with my cutout open compaired to my 4" exhaust. with the cutout closed my spool went up about 500rpms or so.
I did not dyno it to check power loss but you could feel the difference.
No videos with that exhaust on

I have a WS2 now that's not hooked up to anything (just there to act as if I have a full exhaust) that I'm getting rid of in favor of a full 3"
In all honesty, I would like my car to be as quiet as that exhaust, but I know it's not going to happen without significant hp losses.

I had a WS on my integra. terrible. killed spool time. killed top end. the powerband flattened out up top. I thought that it wouldnt matter that much but it did. Now i got a Magnaflow straight through... much better.
I think straight through mufflers are a must for turbo apps.
I think on lower psi it doesn't matter as much as higher boost.
I learned first hand that Hondas have to be loud to make power.

i suspected this to be the case on my car also. i just went out and pulled the muffler off of it, oh my god what a difference

theres a thread here on HT talking about the 3" WS2 for turbo setups. i figured it was a chambered design since its known to be a rather quiet exhaust. one of the guys said he had it sitting right next to him and he claimed its 3" straight through.

The WS2 muffler on the catbacks are chambered. The 3" WS2 universal muffler is straight through.

Does anyone have sound clips of the 3" WS2 muffler? I have 2.5" Kteller piping, with a high flow cat, 22" magnaflow silencer and 18" oval magnaflow muffler and it's still too loud.
I think if you want something stealthy, you're going to have to go with a chambered muffler and take the performance hit.

yeah, thats my thread. i cant seem to find enough info as i would like. i would really like to run this muffler but i guess i might have to go with a different one.
and the WS2 3" universal is a straight though design.

My experience with the ws on turbo cars is that it sucks a big one. It will kill your power compared to what you'd make with a full 3". If you run one i recommend getting a cutout. Thats what we did on my friend's SI. He runs the worldsport with a 3" cutout. The car is super slow with the cutout closed, but with it opened it is real quick.
