HOW MUCH BOOST CAN I TAKE
Ok I have a B18B1W/ PR3 head with the fallowing mods.
B18B1 golden eagle sleeves
Manley turbo tuff rods
Arias 9.1:1 pistons
ACL Green bearings
OEM honda head gasket
ARP head studs
Pro 2 cams
supertech valve train
Air intake mani
hondata IM gasket
running a full race top mount mani with dual 44mm gates
Bullseye S372 turbo
and all the other supporting mods wit Hondata S300
I wanna run really really high boost Tony Palo built the motor like 2 years ago for a guy and has very few miles on it and only had 27psi on it with a T3 T67 turbo and I have just used the long block. I am aiming for 900+whp with this motor and I am really worried about spinning a bearing. What is the max boost recomended.

Whay are you worried about spinning a bearing?
Turn the boost up until it stops making power w/ the boost increase or until it hits a "wall".

Re: HOW MUCH BOOST CAN I TAKE
I am just worried that it might be to much for the motor. I talked to Tony Palo at T1 and he said 50 psi to make an insaine amount of power but that scares the **** out of me. I have all my money for the last 2 years into this car so I am just trying to make over 900whp on this motor and keep it in the safe area.

DO IT ON ALL FOURS
Re: HOW MUCH BOOST CAN I TAKE
You are shooting for 900HP and you are worried about blowing it? Sounds like you are out of your means to have a car with that much HP. If I was you and I was that hard up for money I would shoot for, and be happy with, a much lower HP level. You could then beat on it as much as you want, and wouldn't have to worry about anything too major going wrong. Run 30 lbs. and call it a day.

Why is 900whp the magic #?? What do you plan on doing with the car?

Re: HOW MUCH BOOST CAN I TAKE
there's alot more to 900XX than just a motor. I hope your drivetrain is upgraded too. if not, say hello to many broke trannies/axles. with what is said, I think you can make good power, let's be realistic and shoot for something you can get used to without breaking everything else. just my .02

Yeah, I'd be happy with 6-700 whp, especially if you need the motor to last. People who are running 900+ whp have the means to repair/replace anything that lets go, and to rebuild the motor frequently.

Re: HOW MUCH BOOST CAN I TAKE
sounds like this kid has been reading mags and paying to have his **** put together and knows **** for **** when it really comes to cars , sorry maybe im a ******* but i get tired of reading **** like this i mean really if you want 900hp then you must be building a race car if this is in a street car then your just building a dyno queen and a ***** enhancer by all means, sorry bro dont take it tha wrong way but that much power on tha street is a waste by all means hell 400hp in a street car is still going to be pretty damn quick so why not start there and get tha feel for it and shoot up from there

Re: HOW MUCH BOOST CAN I TAKE
Ok well let's get this out of the way getting the gears and syncros from Mfactory this week dss 5.9 axels all that ****. I am not some punk *** magazine reader. I know my **** and have had a few hondas over 700 I know so I do take offense on that. I know I have a good chance of spinning a bearing not really worried about anything else all other mods are well supported. I am just getting nervouse about the power never went for this before. Not it is not gonna be a street car it's gonna be a trailer queen. I have been building these cars for about 8 years now. The most I have ever put through a Honda is 30psi though. I was just wondering what thos guys out there makig 900+ range are running for boost levels ya know just looking for some insight. See I have been working on this car for 2 years out of pocket and I just wanna make a sick *** car that's all.

Re: HOW MUCH BOOST CAN I TAKE
At that level, you can't really afford to worry about blowing engines and breaking parts....its a matter of when, not if. That's what you have to live with when you want 900whp on 2.0L or less 4 cylinder

Re: HOW MUCH BOOST CAN I TAKE
Lol the bearing well from talking with the pros is gonna be the weakest point of the motor. I have lost. Motor to that on more than one occassion. Now with the last setup same motor setup just smaller turbo and injectors and a few other mods now I am running all new setup and I just wanna make it but the guy the built the motor well he is the best I've ever met so I trust him just getting nervouse twards the end here idk if it is gonna blow or not and I'm uppwards of 30k into this car. Idk any yall out there running a setup like me with these numbers how long these motors last and what's usually your weakest point
