Inline fuel pump with hondata??
i have read a few people saying to use a in-tank with the hondata but i cant find any info on why the inline cant be used with hondata. Is this true or rumor,
i have an inline, stock rail, stock regulator and im getting the s100 and will be running 550's. I think i will be fine at stock fuel pressure as long as the injector dont max out correct? Then if that was the case i could get a fpr and bump the pressure to make them act like larger injectors to an extent. But if i dont need a fpr now that would be good,. lack of funds.
correct me if im wrong. Thanks. CHRIS

Re: Inline fuel pump with hondata?? (g2turbo)
I used an inline with my Hondata, I didn't have any problems. I only did it for 2 weeks or so then my intank came in and I replaced it and took the inline out. Don't know if this helps, but like I said I didn't have any problems.

I used an inline with dsm 450s and the afc hack and was running lean, I don't think the inline can move the volume that the intank can.

Re: Inline fuel pump with hondata?? (turbosol)
ill be running stock fuel pressure though, so hopefully it will be ok. I have 720 cc injectors which at 42 psi should flow low 300's to the wheels no problem.
i quess ill give it a try. CHRIS
anyone else??

I've got a similar setup w/ my ZDYNE...I'm running 450's an MSD in-line and 12PSI of boost...no one makes an intank for 88-91 civics so I had to resort to the in-line set up...give RC engineering a call and talk to a tech, that's how I was convinced that my set-up would work. There's a guy who ran 24PSI w/ my motor w/ a stock in-tank and two MSD in-lines, don't know why an in-line wouldn't work for you...sure does beat dropping the tank, a big PITA...

Well for the s200 boost option, hondata recommends against using an inline pump http://www.hondata.com/featuresboost.html it's toward the bottom of the page. Maybe you should email them and ask why.

Re: Inline fuel pump with hondata?? (g2turbo)
I remember reading that an inline would be less effective if the in-tank was left in place because the inline would have to pull fuel through the other pump. TOO had a mod to replace the in-tank with a pickup to avoid the problem.

Re: Inline fuel pump with hondata?? (g2turbo)
i believe the stock pump can flow enough fuel for low boost on 450/550cc injectors. that means u can take out the inline and run just off the stock intank although having the inline in there isnt gonna hurt anything u could just leave it till u get a better intank. I wouldnt trust the stock pump to flow anywhere past 250hp, intank fuel pumps arent too expensive just sell the inline for like 50$ and put it towards a good intank.
remember stock intanks cant do high pressure nor high volume. walbro intanks can do medium pressures and lots of volume. inline fuel pumps do high pressure and medium to high volumes.

Re: Inline fuel pump with hondata?? (DIRep972)
an inline fuel pump would be working against the intank pump and if it ever failed you would not get any fuel through to the injectors
