helicoiled headstuds and high boost.....
I am looking into buying a block that may need to be helicoiled for 1-2 headstuds. Its a sleeved block and i hope to make 400 whp with it, will the heli-coils present a problem with the headgasket holding up?
TIA!!

Helicoils are pretty damn strong.
The only thing I would be worried about is if there is enough material around the area you will have to drill and tap.

woah, the helicoils do not hold up well. Do a search. You want a solid insertplug. The timecert is the only way to go IMO. I had to do 4 on my wifes built motor. The head studs held with zero problems. Ran all season 22-25 psi 454 whp. I have heard many times of the helicols failing. Do a search on how to get the kit and install it .
You want the 1inch slugs not the 1/2 inch.

1/2" headstuds. If you know a good machinist. Thats the way I fixed three messed up holes in my block. Fix and an upgrade all at one time.
