What is your GSR turbo setup? What kinda power are you making with stock internals? Are you satisfied with this setup? Pics?

Damn.. you're my new hero dude!

Anyways, my list for now is:

Revhard mani
Garrett T3 (.48 A/R ext., 50-trim comp.)
TiAL 35mm WG
Revhard 2.5" DP
Apex'i N1 (2.36")
RX7 460cc injectors

Guesstimate right now is around ~190whp @ 5.5psi, we'll see what it puts down on Hondata S200B later this month

BUMP. Anyone have pics of their turbo setups? I need ideas for my custom setup, with goals of around 230whp @ 7psi, and around 300whp @ 12-14 psi with good spool time. I also want the most effective power at around 4000 RPM's. What setup should I be looking at?

is that reliable? Seems like a lot of boost for stock block, pistons, and rods.

Its 100% reliable. I was daily driving the car up until I went back to school. Parts, installation and tuning is key to reliability. I have done 425whp level on a stock block gsr awhile back.

Hmm, not to jack the thread but do you think the b18c is worth the extra money over a b18b for someone on a budget? I'm just trying to pull out 300whp reliably. Can we talk on AIM? Let me know!

I bet you don't drive the car at 11 psi daily though? That is just crazy especially on stock internals.

everyone is talking reliable.. yes.. its possible to make a reliable 300whp on stock pistons.. but don't expect it to last long.. how many miles do you expect to get out of it?

i can't see how stock internals last for many miles, other than people that have stock internals for years don't push their cars as often.

Actually when the car was driven, it was daily driven on 11psi. The block is the same block i used awhile back to make 420whp on. Its my fail-safe block, I have had three different turbo set-ups on it in the past. Longevity and reliability are really not an issue at 350whp level on stock internals, it should last for 30-40K with proper maintenance.

How is it reliable if it doesn't last?

My biggest question is, how much can the stock SLEAVES handle, just assume the pistons and rods are forged

my point is.. pick your milage.. and theres the life of your motor!

how long do you want your engine to last? you won't get 50k miles boosting lets say 350 whp.. if even 20k with stock sleeves with pistons/rods.

i plan to stay around 275whp for daily boosting with stock sleeves + pistons/rods.. i might consider tuning for 300-325whp to run that on occasions - but my problem is i'd run it every day then..

So what your saying is, the b18c and really, the b18b, can actually take a **** load of abuse and last? You dont feel that its been a fluke at all, but instead that it is this way across the board? Also, can we talk a bit on AIM or some other live chat service about my future setup, I have some questions for you..

Around 50K. Its all in the tuning. I have little to no timing in the maps, relieving alot of excess cylinder pressure. If you keep the cylinder pressure down you unload the bearings, rod, rod bolts and ring lands extending the life of the block significantly.

I dont have AIM, ICQ, etc.
