Ok guys need some advice here. I have a built gsr block with the exception of it being sleeved. I recently purchased a built gsr head off another H-T member at a great price, so i couldnt pass up the deal. Here's the thing though. The previous owner had the gsr head set up for LS Vtec and he completley blocked off the port on the head where the oil flows to the head. With that being said, can I just run it like an Ls Vtec conversion with an oil sandwich plate and line to the head? Will it affect oil flow or anything in that nature considering is not a true LS Vtec conversion? Sorry if this is a noob question, but i rather be dumb for asking then being an idoit for blowing up my engine. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Yes - you can do the LS/VTEC conversion to your current setup. I am curious though: How exactly is it blocked that you can't undo it?

From the looks of it they used a cylinder fitting and pressed it into the port. So it has no hex head or anything like that so I can screw it out. The only 2 options I had was to drill it out or just keep it as is and run it like if it were to be LS Vtec conversion. So to me that sounded safer than to drill on the head and risk messing somthing up.

Yeah, seems like you've got a plan for making it work. They should have tapped that hole though so that it could be undone later if wanted. Oh well though....people don't like to think ahead

Drill a small hole Into that plug. Thread it.
Place a larger socket over the plug put washers on a bolt thread the bolt in the plug as you tighten the bolt it will pull the plug out of the bore.
I do this to dowel pins all the time
