Default Good tuner in Chicagoland area??????!!!!!!

Hey guys, so I just got my 99 Civic together.

D16Y8 1.6 SOHC Vtec
T3 Turbonetics System
71mm Throttle Body
Skunk2 Racing Intake
AEM adjustable cam gear
Crower Stage 1 cam
Crower springs and retainers
Ported/Polished head w stainless steel valves
Head Studs

After I got done with all that I took it to get tuned. I'm not going to get into it, but the guy totally F'd up my car. Put 270cc injectors in when they were supposed to be 440cc in the first place. 270cc injectors on the web claim they are only good for 200HP at the motor. Said he could make it work, so dyno's it a couple times, get's it up to 200HP at the wheels.....cool, no problem...... till I take it for a drive, the thing is pingin like a motha!!!!! He was riding in the car with me, I asked if he was hearing that and he swore up and down it was the sound of the Vtec kicking in. I've been a mechanic for 12 years and I know pingin when I hear it, either an ignition ping or a lean ping. So took it home and on the way I stopped to turn down the boost cause I didn't like the sound at all!! Turned down the boost 3psi, no change, still at 13psi, turn it down another 3psi, still at 13psi, turned it down another 3psi and finally went down to 12psi. So adjusted it down to 7psi to be safe, then I did the math, he had it turned up to 22psi!!! Stock bottom end D16 block should be 10psi MAX!!! The car was working so hard with the stock cat and the injectors weren't big enough so all it would push it 13psi!!!! Can you believe this ****!!! The next day on my way to work, blew the dam head gasket, melted the plugs, god only knows whatelse. The tune didn't even last a day before it fried my motor!!
So know I have to rip the dam motor apart again just to see what else is melted.....funfun But after all of the repairs I will need to get it tuned again, this time without the cat and with 440cc injectors. Right now it has a P28 chipped ecu running Neptune. I'm not sure if I want to stick with it or change it. I'm not to familiar with the Honda tuning.
Also, if anyone could tell me what ALL I need to do the tuning w/wideband myself on the street. I already have the laptop with a serial port, I need to know what else I need and where to get it. I would appreciate your help very much, I'm stuck in a bind and don't want to blow another motor!!

Thank You Very Much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was hoping you weren't going to say that.... That's actually who I went to first of all, which is why I have a blown motor now!! I've heard the same thing about SuperDave. But when I went there they didn't have the injectors they said they had(440cc), so they said the 270cc's would work fine. BULLSHIT! And why did he have the boost turned up to 22psi on the boost controller!! My little motor can't handle much more than 10psi on stock bottom end. Not to mention the $120 adjustable cam gear I put on that he never even adjusted, he said it doesn't make a difference at all. Well, ya know what, I paid $120 for that pulley, and now I payed him ALOT of money to make the most reliable HP out of my little motor. I put the pulley on to see what it would do, he didn' t even want to bother. I'm sure other people have had good luck with him, I've heard nothing but good things, but I had a VERY bad experience. And now I have to rebuild my motor, AGAIN! I just got the thing back together 3 weeks ago!! The thing that pisses me off is the fact I pointed out to him right after the dyno that the car was pinging, BAD!! I told him to take it for a drive, as I can hear the thing pinging like hell down the road, he pull's back into the lot and tries telling me that's what the Vtec sound's like when it opens up. Too bad the Vtec opens at 4000rpm, not 6000rpm(when it was pinging). I know I'm rambling, but I'm still hot under the collar.
Anyway, if anyone knows anyone else that does any dyno-tuning, someone who can take their time, do it right the first time. Someone who is as interested as me to see how many reliable HP I can get out of this thing, please let me know!!!
Thanks....

I was going to say Dave at whipfactory, cause he did a great tune for me more than once...

Did you contact him about this at all and see what he had to say?

Sorry I dont know anyone else in the area that tunes neptune who is any good, maybe check through the tuner directory post in this forum. Dave has done the tuning on basically everyone I know locally who is boosted or heavily mod'd making any good numbers.

As far as tuning it yourself, not to say that you could not but I would not... especially if you have no tuning experience... and dont want to blow up another motor in the process of learning.

I enjoyed working with him, but it just seemed like he was in a hurry to get me out. No I have not contacted him at all, I figured I would get the same run around that I got before. Not to mention I figured I would cool down for a while cause I don't want to do or say anything out of line. Plus I still have to pull the head off the car again to see what exactly happened. I know it was running lean as hell cause the brand new plugs were almost melted and coated white. I know the head gasket, head, or block is blown cause my block tester tested positive for exhaust gases in the cooling system. I just spent almost $1000 on the head assembly alone with the cam, springs and retainers, and valves, not to mention the port/polish job. I'm steamed now, but if I yank the head off and find melted pistons, valves, etc I'm gonna be irrate! Maybe I wouldn't be so mad if he would have tested the AF one more time, or the boost level, after I told him it was pinging. But he swore up and down it was the Vtec kicking in. Like I said, I'm a mechanic, I work on cars every day, I know pinging when I hear it, and it was more than pinging.
I could go on forever, sorry guys. Anywho, it's "tuned" with Neptune now, but I was looking at the CromePro system kit(cause nobody else seems to know how to tune with Neptune) that is offered by a website(forgot which one off hand). Comes with the license, data logging cable, emulator, etc.... for about $700. If I got that kit would I be able to hook up my laptop and tune my car? I know it's probly not a good idea to some, but I dyno tuned American Muscle for 2 years, so I pretty much got the concept down, I just need to learn my way around the program. Any help you guys offer would be GREATLY appreciated!!! Any tuners in the Chicagoland area that know's Crome?

Again, thanks guys.....
