Re: Garrett T3 60-1
there isnt much of a difference between a 35r and a t3 60-1 is there? the compressor maps look almost the same.

Re: Garrett T3 60-1
Drool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO THE DAMN THING THEN!
-stock fuel system
You dropped a pretty penny on machining and turbo parts but let fuel intake slip your mind and a full set up is relatively cheap compared to what you have already put down.

Re: Garrett T3 60-1
ITs all good man not like your build can't handle the lack of fuel it's just dying for it. It wants to show you its potential but your holding it back. Your setup is ready for every bit of 500whp!

Re: Garrett T3 60-1
Ok first off a 60-1 does NOT have to have a .60 cold side. If you opt for the S cover it will be a .70 cold side.
you can get a .48, .63, or .82 hotside which the stamping will be on the exhaust housing to tell you what it is.
the 60-1 is closer to a 30R than a 35R.
I have a t3/60-1 ball bearing with a S comp cover and .63 hotside with stage 3 wheel. on 14psi you will make about 400whp on a good tune and pump gas on a built motor. It wont flow enough for 450 at that low of boost. My car was just tuned to 401whp @14psi on pump gas and 583whp spinning on the dyno at 32psi falling to 27psi at redline. I would not push a non-ball bearing that far though.

Re: Garrett T3 60-1
A 60-1 with a S cover flows 61 lbs/min. With an E cover like I think is being discussed it will flow less. MAX is 575whp before it is really out of its range.
On the other hand a 35R flows 65 lbs/min and will support 650whp all day and be efficient at that HP.
So in closing the 35R is a good bit bigger than a 60-1 and will support way more power before it falls on its face

[QUOTE=bb6guy;42225540]so you think it is a 60-1?
anyone else agree??[/QUOTE
Nah. Looks like a T3/T04E 60 trim turbocharger. Standard 270 degree thrust bearing. honestly, for most B-series, that's just perfect. Better than the standard 60-1 package anyway. you lucked out.

Re: Garrett T3 60-1
Yeah you will lose spool but it will flow enough for high numbers. The thing is if you are still on a 255lph pump and 1000's you wont have the fuel to use it to its potential
