Finally got a T1 Tune.....
Well after being on deployment for 6 months now and talking to Tony over the course of it, my car finally made its way down to his shop for some work and a prestigous Tony Palo tune. After he let me know my turbo was shitting the bed, he took care of getting me another one and then proceeded to tune the car.. I was very happy with the outcome and by the sound of his email, it sounded as though he was as just as happy and surprised by the power it put out.. On pump gas the car made a measly 496hp but on race gas at 27-28psi it put down 655hp and 476tq. I was very very happy for the mods that were done to car.. Well since I know I will be asked I might as well list whats done to car now..

i have no doubts on this as i have done it before but usually somebody chimes in with, "why are you using a walbro for that much power" lol
nice setup, got any pics?

Chad, you've got a hell of a setup man! This was with an SC6176, .63 a/r. I'm amazed at the power the car made and how smooth everything runs. I usually stop at the low 400's on pump gas. The car has an 18lb spring in the wastegate, so i just kept it really conservative since we couldn't turn the boost down. The plugs look perfect, it's definitely happy where it is, which says a lot about the efficiency of the motor.
As far as the fuel system, it's done. lol I stopped that pull early because it was starting to go lean. It pulled to 9500 at lower boost. Definitely needs more pump at the very least.
Anyways, congrats on the power Chad, glad i could help you reach your goals.

Well, i ran out of red paint, but i did bend the turbine blades a little bit with some vice grips, to T1 spec, and it now flows like a 42R turbine wheel. I also did a little polishing and "adjusting" on the compressor wheel to pick up flow. Outlet temps dropped 65deg. from the modifications.

understandable tony. I would like to have a good theory how the temps lowered from the T1 spec mods. I see power gains from bendings the fins more, but outlet temps dropping? hehe

Re: (ZacCarter)
Depends how much more power he wants. With this turbo, an inline pump in addition to the intank 255 should do the trick. It's also going to be time for a twin disk clutch. A single disk won't last long at the track at that power level.
This car has an MSD 6A ignition.

Good job w/ the tune Tony. I put this car together. It's my old car. It has an act extreme pressure plate w/ a competition sprung puck, because i daily drove the car. It also has a freshly rebuilt jdm itr tranny w/ a quaife diff. You got one hell of a deal Chad!
