Em1 GSR build On the quest for 700+Hp lots of pics
I've been wanting to start a new build thread for a while now for my 2000 Civic Si. Just havent had the time. So lets start from the beginning.
I had a build thread for my 96 coupe and was like 10+ pages and wasnt getting no love on the em1.
Im going to try and make the 1st of this easy and short then get to the main point.
Back In 2010, I traded a hatch for a 96 turbod coupe.
The hatch ( was in a fire, so thats why I traded)

Got the coupe with a Ls turbo but a ebay turbo kit. Ebay stuff just isnt my thing. So started to get parts together and this is what I ended up with:
- b16 head supertech valvetrain, GSR cams
- turbonetics t3/t04 .48ar w/ stage 3 wheel
- blox exhaust manifold
- turbo smart 38mm wastegate
- tial bov
- precision 1000cc inj
- act 4 puck clutch
- hasport motor mounts
- golden eagle ls-v conversion kit
- GSR shaved valve cover with a home made oil catch can set up
- aluminum radiator
- GSR ARP head studs
- walbro 255 fuel pump
- Gm 3 bar map
- blox intake mani
- 31x11x3 bar and plate intercooler
It ended up making like 275hp and blew up. Spun a rod bearing and bent 2 valves. Got it back together and took it to get retuned.

the skinny lines are from before when it blew up and the others is from fresh
Just to come to find out I was not happy at all with the set up. I started to save money to start over. Got a really good deal on a fully built gsr long block.
gsr b18c1inline pro sleaved (built by evans tuning)
84mm
cp 9:1 pistons
manley h-beams
arp head studs
GSR head
skunk2 valvetrain
skunk2 stage 1 tuner cams
victor x itm
synapse ramhorn turbo mani
tail 44 gate
PTE6265
full blown dual hanger fuel pump set up with 2 340lph fuel pumps, to -10 hose to the fuel rail.
golden eagle fuel rail
id 1000's
aeromative fpr
new ic pipe
waiting for a tune
532/360 J-K tuning FTW
Then I got a really good deal on a 2000 Em1. The Ex body was starting to get alittle rusty. Cant really blame it with almost 300,000 miles. So then switch over began.
These are a PAIN in the ***..
I repainted the intake mani it looked bad (after)

quick question. on the pic with the full blown hanger you said its a pain to install. is that the reason your installing it without the arms the pumps mount to? any adverse effects by doing this?

The pumps are a ***** to get in with the dual hanger, after an hour and a whole lot of cussing I got mine to go in lol. Good luck with build, so far so good!

In this pic its about done just have to slide it down in the tank and put the nuts on. The arms are there you just cant see them. You have to put it in the tank in 3 different parts. If you need more help just ask ill try my best to explain it the best i can.
thanks who is the btw?

how high up di you put the pumps? by that i mean where was the clamp positioned on the pump halfway, toward the top, or bottom? and how did you position the filters? and by any chance do you have any pics of how you positioned the filters?
resonn i ask is because im attempting to use a walbro 255 gss341 and gss342 the difference is the how the filters mount they are directly opposite of each other.
this is a pic of how mine looks now without a filter on the gss342
as you can see the filter on the gss341(pump for honda) angles the filter behind the two pumps, now on the gss342 (pump for my evolution) is direct opposite, meaning the filter will be the same except in front of the pumps in this pic. i have the pumps mounted on the hanger with the clips facing the arms if that makes sense. is this how yours ar mounted or should i rotate the pumps so the filters are like this instead,

or what the pic is showing like this?

great looking build by the way and i hope you reach your goal.

[QUOTE=W!d3b0dYr3X;46678701]what do you mean you have to put it in in 3 different parts? im hoping you dont mean you put the arms in first and then attach the top part to the arms cuz that already seems like a MOTHER F****R just thinking about it and trying to get the lines to not kink and everything.
Ya thats what I meant by that lol. They are a mother f****r. Ill tell you before you start. You have to sit one arm down and then the other ( the reason the stock tank hole is no where being big enough to fit everything in at one time) then once you get them in you have to wrap the hose around the arm and clamp it then but the bolts in. then do the samething with the other side. You dont have much room at all doing this either. About the room in the pic i posted.

There was alittle slot where the clamp went and the clamp was in the middle of the pumps. I left the hose length whatever it was when full blown sent it to me. And i also used the filters they went me and i cannot remember how i position them.. And the only pic i have is that one up there. Only reason i took that one was to send to a buddy to show him who won the fight lol.

Man that thing sure is moving! One thing though, I sure would be sweating my *** off knowing my inline filter was hanging so close to the ground. haha. And you running a LS trans?
