dual exhaust setup... haters?
So many of you saw my thread where my car was making less power on my setup than I originally anticipated. https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...ghlight=545whp
Well it looks like the problem was the muffler that I originally had located around my shiftlinkage...magnaflow 5inch round barrel... well at 13psi my car reading 11.7-11.9 af and after cutting off the muffler and welding in a straight 3 inch pipe the cars a/f's at 13psi started reading 13.9-14.1 but it sounded like an indy car which i refuse... well i like to do things differently so i decided on this setup... the afs are reading 13.9- 14.1 just like before... obvious fuel adjustments are needed but my exhaust flow is up to par as well as it sounds like a freakin evo... it is REALLY deep... i will try to get a video... im sure there will be plenty of haters... but i am extremely happy with my new exhaust setup!

It looks good and I'm sure it makes for a nice exhaust note... but FYI it's REALLY bad to have the exhaust exit under the car... you seriously run the risk of getting carbon monoxide poisoning and dying...
It's sometimes totally impossible to detect it until it's too late... and the damage is cumulative so you can get exposed slightly for a week or two then die from the built up effects...
I've thought about doing this a thousand time but won't look into it till I get my car up and running... If it's too loud how it is now I'll look into it. It's obviously just silly if you're not running a bunch of boost.

some will still draw into the car. people run open down pipe cars all the time. you just have to deal with the smell and headaches some time.

I like how it's not a "ricer" dual, where you really don't see it. Its heavier than a single pipe, but you can't argue it flows worse. I've only heard of people having issues with the louvered straight-through resonators. Magnaflo only uses perferated tubes that I know of.
Personally I'd have gone with an e-cutout. I put one on my DD, which is 3" from the turbo to the gas tank w/18" louvered 5" resonator, which necks down to the stock exhaust pipe & muffler after that. The cutout faces the gas tank (heat shield still in place), and I've ran that setup for about 10k miles so far. Mine is a custom unit I made, which is more user friendly. It can open up itself at 60% throttle and above.

Ricer.
I have made a point to skip your threads until now...
I am back on the wagon. Your logic/taste is just.... meh, forget it. Maybe you need BIGGER cams to flow more exhaust through your mufflers, maybe that will fix your boost too...
