does someone know the d16z5? it is a dohc non-vtec and I´m not sure if it was ever sold in the US. I´m searching for pistons/rods and think they are same as all D16-blocks?

What about teh valvesprings/retainers? does someone know whichone I can take?
I would like to get crower/skunk2 - but can´t find something on theire websites.

This is really the wrong forum to be posted this in...but ill humor you...

The d15z5 is a obd0 dohc non-vtec which was made for the Honda Civic/CRX in europe. Its basically identical to a obd0 dohc ZC from jdm land.

You can find out lots of info on the motor at http://www.thezcr.com.

As for parts, the block is basically a d16 short block with a mini-b18a style head. Its a honda freak motor really.

You can use any d16 rods, for pistons you will need to get dohc ZC specific pistons because the ZC has a huge head volume, so you need to run a pretty high compression piston to keep the compression in the motor. Both Endyn and Wiseco make ZC specific pistons. Checkout http://www.theoldone.com/ for Endyn and http://www.raceeng.com for Wiseco pistons (look under the raceeng spec pistons, which are made by Wiseco for race engineering).

For headbolts, ARP doesnt make a kit for the dohc ZC. What i run is Dodge Neon Headbolts which work just great. You can find the part numbers at thezcr if you need.

For headparts, look no further then JG Engine Dynamics or Endyn. Both sell valve springs, valves, cams, port work, and anything else zc head related you need. I personally have a full jg pro-series head package in my ZC and i love it. Im also rocking the JG cams.

Speaking of cams, you can get almost any company to make "zc" regrounds for ya. Just talk to them like the cams are made for a b18a - they are very similar just smaller. I used to run Crower cams back in the day - however i like my JG cams better. EF1, Crower, JG, and a number of other companys can make you quality cam grinds however. The only company i knew that made billet cams for the ZC was HKS, which doesnt make them anymore. They were a "turbo" spec cam tho and was pretty weak. Something like 252 duration. I run a 268 or something.

Good luck!
