diy turbo set up - searched for it already...
hey there
newbie here. been visting the board for a while and i'm looking to participate. got a question: if I do a non-intercooled turbo set up initially and decide later to go with a intercooler do I have to remount the turbo so that the exit side of the turbo is closer to the driver side so that piping can enter the intercooler and exit on the t-body side? Any help would be appreciated especially by some resident diyer and fellow junk yard junkies.
thx - twizt

you wont haev to remount the turbo, you may have to spin the compresor housing around a tad depending on your setup. You will definitely need to make new piping.

turbo- so if the compressor side is facing towards the passengerside what path does the tubing take to from the turbo to get to the intercoller and then to the throttle body?

Same deal regardless of which side the comp is on - down and 90 degree bend, follow teh radiator to the driver's side fender, wrap around the bumper support to the front and into the intercooler.
