Default Delta wastegate in delta mode

most people install their delta wastegate as a conventional wastegate - just to open when boost reaches a certain level, but i was also reading the little pamphlet that came with the wastegate, that says u can set it up in 'deltagate mode' which would be to also utilize the top hold on the wastegate....has anyone set it up in this fashion, and if so, what are the advantages? thanks in advance.
