So many variables here. How much timing? How much boost? Turbo setup? Fuel? Power?

Try a gap around .022 if you are getting close to .030 it might be too much for the stock coil. Some people go even smaller gap than that. If that doesnt work you might as well upgrade to an external coil. yea def take care of the mil first

Ok, after talking to my tuner i and he figured out it was the speedo not working causing my setup to break up as it did.. and so i fixed the speedo cable yesterday and drove it worked great car felt another 100whp faster.. Speedo cable broke in half so i welded it up and ground it down to fit back in and it broke again last night so ill just get another one out of my crx dx. Nothing to do with the dizzy at all.. I will gap my plugs down to like .023 or so.. and what do you guys think i know there is alot of smart engine builders/tuners here what do you guys think if i was to use a MSD external cap and coil.. and maybe some thicker plus then what i have now are 8mm advance auto parts red wires.. Which set up should i do.. Thanks and would i gain any power..

sounds to me like your ignitor may be getting too hot, and freaking out. I had similar issues on my drag car. Fine on the dyno, but at the track, under the hood gets hotter, and the track is a bit more load than our dynojet produces, caused break up issues. replaced the ignitor, and it went away. now i just ice my distributor between rounds, and have 0 issues. if i dont ice it, i have break up, even at .020 gap

What do you guys think and what do you run.. I dont want some extremly expensive aem system at this moment just would like to find out the cheapest upgrade... Ill remove the internal coil but for the moment its still works great.. I have buddy of mine and he said when his z6 was just engine NA he felt it gain some power and ran a 14.5 1/4 mile. Lightweight crx.. hf i think.
