Default chromed ecu

i have a friend that has an obd1 b16 ecu that is supposed to be chromed for turbo. he wants $200 for the chromed ecu to go on my 94 gsr w/t3 setup. is this a good idea for the price. this ecu was supposed be the **** and the car it ran on was quick. will i need this thing tuned to run. who can tune a chromed ecu ? lmk thanx

first off its crome and your buddy is ******* stupid. unless he has crome pro, its only worth 140 or around there. if it does have crome pro on it then yes it if worth it
and YES IT NEEDS TO BE TUNED

That thing must be shiny. typical going price for an un chromed non shiny one is 140-150 so yeah not a good deal unless it truly is chromed

isnt crome pro based on laptop/software and has nothing to do with the chip itself ??

Ok first off crome is a tuning program. Your buddy has a socketed ecu with chip in it that was tuned with crome. My car was tuned using crome. Wonderful stuff.


And if you mean a CHROME ecu. Please go jump off a tall building so you have no possibility of wrecking the gene-pool.

he means crome, for a retune pm mtber on H-T or TR for more info. he is located in northern pinellas county.

a chipped ecu is worth 200$ if you need one then. but yes you need to tune it before you can beat on you car but it will run your car.
