Re: how much power
around 1,000,000whp...
Way to vauge my friend.....running 10's is not a walk in the park. That turbo maxes out at 550whp i believe....but you left out so many details that nobody can answer this with accuracy
plus everyone makes different power with different set-ups. Depending on the fuel used, youre managment(and tuner) and youre internals ( sleeves?) would be helpful on what power you can make.

Re: how much power
You have prety much the same setup as I will be running (LS Vtec B18B1 stock block ARP hardware, stock B16 and cams) I am not going to push my stock block any higher than about 300-310whp on pump gas. However my car is a DD and I want it to last until I build a motor. You still did not give much info, what turbo and intake mani, what fuel and do you have a power goal. Also what type of racing/driving??

Re: how much power
kbouchard is right. Even with a fairly detailed list, calculating a set number is a guessing game.
And I don't know if reliability is a factor, but as far as horsepower, low to mid 300's is as far as I'd push that motor. Sure, people have made 400+ but that's just sketchy.
Your bottom end is definitely the weak link.

Re: how much power
i have a better solution for you
go find a tuner and map out what you want to do with him, and go from there since he will be tuning the car he will tell you what the best route to take to meet your goals is

Re: how much power
If you so some searching and see what other people are running you will get a better idea. I will second that you will be hard pressed to hit 10's, from what I have read about on here from other people.

Re: how much power
My good friend is running a similar setup B18C1(Stock Sleeve) CP Pistons, Eagle Rods stock GSR crank yealding a 9.6:1 comp ratio, with B16 Head type R cams, Speed Factory RamHorn mani and a Precision 6262S Turbo .82 A/R hot side, and Precision 880cc injectors. 3"DP 3" straight piped exhaust. putting down 465whp 369tq his best pass in the 1/4 with full inteior other than back seat was 11.6 on MT ET Streets your gonna need to do alot of weight retuction as well your not gonna be running 10's in a 2700 pound car with only 450-550whp

Re: how much power
^^^ good suggestion. Check out the LSV-T Thread. There are dozens of 400hp setups, many of which have there parts/tune/psi listed.

Re: how much power
at the point your at in the build type r cams arent going to help you any. you could make the 300whp on the b16 cams. The b18b bottom end shouldnt be pushed passed 300-310whp. the cast pistons are weak and ringland generally break when pushed passed that limit. Yes you can make more power but it wont hold together. If your trying to run tens get better pistons/rods and it can be done. you can run tens on stock sleeves just have a good tuner and properly built setup. going to take 475+ to run 10's and alot of seat time and dialing in the car and good suspension

Re: how much power
another things you all are missing size tires/wheels, traction bars, which suspension you choose and so on you all are just thinking about horsepower giving you a good time.

Re: how much power
Like stated above type r cams will help, but not really going to in youre case since gsr cams will work fine in the amount of power youll be making...SInce youre limited with a stock bottom end. I dont know how u came up with such a specific Compression ratio. Also as stated above tires and suspension (def traction bars) are going to be a big help. However with a stock block youre limited. Can 10's be done of course it can people doing crazy stuff all the time, but reliability is questionable with them. i wouldnt advice it for the inexperienced. If it was me with that set-up id first say you turbo choice is wrong. Its a little too big for the safe power level you will be at 300-325whp max. depending on fuel. YOu would have been better off with something smaller
While the turbo does give you room too grow in the future (and type r cams)once the block is built. If you dont plan on building it then definatly wrong turbo choice and you could have spent the money elsewhere then on type r cams....you can sell them to me tho
Keep 10's out of youre head for now and get it running and tuned properly. i dont know youre budget but if youre set on 10's def build the block now.

Re: how much power
All you can do is put it together, get it on the dyno, get someone that knows what their doing to tune it, take it to the track and see what you run. That'll tell you how much power your gonna make and what you run :p
