Default Can I use a rubber hose for the oil feed line? and a possible good idea?

I have a auto civic that I converted to 5 speed when I did my swap, and the tranny fluid cooler is just sitting there taking space. So, I figured, I can use that to cool my engine oil before feeding it to the turbo. The only thing is, I can only connect to the cooler by a rubber hose. If I used a fuel hose, would it be able to withstand the pressure? But Would it be a good idea to do that? Anyone done that before? Thanks in advance!

You should use the tranny cooler as an oil cooler, but instead of trying to put it in line before the turbo, you should just get the sandwich adapter that everybody uses for aftermarket oil cooler kits... It screws on in between the block and the oil filter, and routes the oil to the cooler and back...

I asked the same thing last year and people thought it would have too much of a pressure drop while going to the turbo. It will slow down the oil too much. I'm just gonna use my tranny cooler for an oil cooler in the conventional way.

Just installed my B&M oil cooler today and it is great. Next month when I do my turbo I don't think it will be a problem as far as pressure. It should actually help since the oil will not get so hot.

i use rubber hose for my oil feed to the turbo. i like to keep an eye on it, look for cracks/rubbing and **** all the time. i dont trust it, but $5 for 350psi tranny line, or $50 for SS and AN fittings? yeah im cheap...
