Post BOOST Gauge vacuum install N/A then turbo????

i got my motor setup almost for turbo but im going to get it in like a course of a year. ive got the turbo manifold some other parts ecu etc. im parting parts until i get the whole kit setup for my fully build d16z6 for turbo in my car.

ive also got the boost and oil pressure gauge for my turbo kit waiting to be intsalled also an air fuel ratio gauge.

my question for is BOOST gauges.

i bought a vacuum mechanical boost gauge and want to know if its possible to install it on an N/A before going to boost.

i want to also need help to route the vacuum lines where can i temporary install the vacuum gauge hose in line for now. running it in my non turbo N/A car.
will it work also i want to test if my gauge works at least.

also if i get my turbo kit setup complete where do the boost gauges vacuum lines hook up to and how long does the mechanical vacuum line have to be.. if i will to turbo it....

please let me know

Of course you can install a boost gauge on a NA engine. Guess what, it won't go above 0psi

Easiest place is to T the boost gauge hose off the FPR for now. You just want to make sure the vac/boost source is downstream of the throttle body (intake manifold).

ok so i can put the vacuum line in t with the fpr.

but if i go turbo where do i need to put the vacuum line. i want to have some extra vacuum line slack until i go boost.

i don't want the vacuum line to be super short if i connect it to the fpr for now and if i go boost i don't want to take off all the pilar gauge interior piececes off again.

i want like some extra slack let the vacuum line hang so if i install the vacuum line when i have boost.

where ususally people install the vacuum line from boost gauge???

A lot of ppl T the boost gauge off the FPR for turbo too (its not application specific). Its fine for boost as a boost gauge doesn't need a big source. A better alternative would be to buy a vac manifold.

Not to be mean but if your turning it yourself and asking a question like this you shouldn't be turboing the car.
Now if someone else is doing it th you need to do some more reading to find out how everything works.

And yes you can tee off any hose after the throttle body. The brake lines will work for a vaccum box but be sure to Doritos before the check valve.

And yea the gauge will only read vac (if its a vac/boost)
And only 0psi if it only reads boost.

I have a y8 motor and tee off the cruise control nipple.
Then tee my blow off valve off the frp
