Best Tranny For Boost: H22 or H23??
I've heard endless debates on this topic but am still unclear. For boost, is longer gears or shorter gears better. I've had two H22 trannys that crapped out and now have an H23, looking to turbo soon. Please give insight...

Re: (turbociviccoupe)
How much do these run? I've heard like around $900 plus finding a B series tranny, another $700+ I really don't have that much money to spend just on a tranny. Wouldn't it be more cost efficient to just rebuild an H22/H23 tranny w/the Gear-speed carbon synchros (about $215)?

There's always exceptions to the rules but for drag racing you usually want the tightest gears that will put you through the traps at the top of 4th. (or even 5th i guess?)
Power, gearing and slick size are all part of the same package. You cant really answer this question with 2 unknowns.
I'm sticking with the H22 tranny and sizing my slicks (bigger w/h22) so that I'm grazing top of 4th crossing the line based on the MPH I expect for the power I want to make.
