i personally wouldn't do it. I remember running the greddy turbo on my sohc and 6psi safe without doing anything to the fuel setup, but anymore and it would ping. You need to get at least some 310's and a fuel pump. Higher octane isn't gonna help if you can't get enough fuel in there.

damn... sohc motors are pretty strong. I was wondering is retarding the timing something you do manually or is it in the tuning and ECU?

I wouldn't do it via an FMU, but with a set of 440/450's and an AFC, I ran 12psi on a stock 85k mile D16 which still runs 100% strong today, abeit not boosted anymore. Fuel and timing is the name of the game here, but it can be done.

D15 is poo. you're already on the ragged edge.
My d16z ran 10 PSI all day, no problems, all stock too
then i went for a B18C. but thats another story.

you might wanna ditch that FMU, get a intank fuel pump (eg. walbro, etc. etc.), bigger injectors 330's/440's work well. Standalone/piggy back management couldn't hurt either.
