I don't see any specific information about the BBE coating. Can someone link me to it?
I'm pretty sure that coating your intercooler was a bad idea, but I don't want to say anything before I am sure.

its not a bad idea.....i have basically my entire engine coated with the various types of these coatings....from pistons to valves to intake manifold to exhaust manifold....
the product does what it should...and to coat an intercooler like what he did will make more difference than you would think....
its not just flat black paint
oh yeah and it looks bad *** soon_2b_evil good stuff...
quote from swaintechs website
Each Swain Tech coating is formulated for a specific purpose. Depending on the function of the coated part, that purpose may be to retain heat, to remove heat, or to reduce friction, corrosion or wear. In certain applications, coatings can even restore a part to like new, or better than new, condition. Swain Tech coatings extend component life economically.

Soon_2b_evil,
I can't really tell what color that coating is. your pics are a lil blurry and bluish.
Also what is the texture like? smooth or rough?
BTW: Sucks *** what UPS did to it.... I think if I send mine out to get coated I'll crate it.

Is Real Black i dont know why it looks bluish, i guess its the picture. the texture is really smooth. I havent mounted it yet, my car isnt done. Im trying to get everything done at one time. IM not trying to half *** it so. I'll be 100% done in Janunary I know that for a FACT. ITs not going to any longer then that. It took i think it was like a total of 2weeks to ship it up there and have then coat it and ship it back.
Also the coating is .0005

Re: BBE Swain Tech Intercooler (rocket256)
i was told that painting/getting a black FMIC is really bad, attracts allot of heat and so on and so on.. what do you guys think about this?
