B18B1 Turbo Build... ls vtec or not?

Icon6 B18B1 Turbo Build... ls vtec or not?

ok heres the situation, i have a 98 integra gs b18b1 in the car all stock just bolt ons, i also have a stock b18b1 block and a stock b16a head and intake manifold. the b18 block and b16 head came with the golden eagle ls vtec kit already installed with arp head studs and some old *** obd1 ecu with a turbo ls vtec chip already in it from the previous owners set up. i am trying to decide wether i should go ls vtec turbo or just built the ls head up a little beefier and install weisco pistons and eagle connecting rods in my spare ls block, buy an lsd, and a clutch, and injectors, and get it tuned as just a built ls turbo... but its a hard decision cause i just have an ls vtec laying around! does anyone have any issues with their ls vtec turbo or would you just stay ls turbo?

Its personal perference. Seeing you have all that stuff it would be cheaper to build the lsvtec up then to build up the ls head and a block. OR sell the lsv and use the money to build the ls. either way will net some nice numbers. an LS with nice cams and valve springs will give you bigger numbers than a stock LS for sure. will put you up with vtec numbers or close to it.

if you go with lsv then pick up some gsr cams. The b16 cams kinda suck but they will get the job done if need be
