b16 vs b18c turbo?
I know this question has been asked 1000 times and some of you are going to say look around, and ive looked around for the past 2 months trying to figure out what i want to do. but cant come up with a good answer.
I have a 96 integra se with an ls-vtec with 200000 on the bottom end so it has some problems but ive got a ported and polished b16 head on it and a type r IM with 15 or so thousand on it.
What i want to do is do a complete swap off of a good website like hmotorsonline and then put my head on the new engine, and in the somewhat new future (6 months) turbo it stock with a kit and probably a t3/t4 type turbo. looking to put out 275 to 300 to the wheels.
But ive got a few questions on what engine. Its either a b16a sir2 or a b18c gsr jdm. And money is somewhat of an issue but i am for spending more money for something thats going to turn out better.
My first question is for 300 whp should i have an lsd put in? or will it be fine without one? Will the b16 tranny last with that much hp? because ive heard of a bad 3rd gear on it. I dont want to start a tranny arguement but i do belive the gsr tranny is better for boost (and for daily driver which this will be) but im most afraid of getting a b16 tranny and it breaking due to hp.
how much of a speed impact am i going to take if i go with b16 over a b18 before turbo? (talking quarter mile or 0-60 times) and how much cp will the b16 head bring a b18 down? Also what motor is more reliable to turbo?

B18C. 300whp on an lsd would be good yeah but its up too you if you want too spend the money on an aftermarket one or itr trans. You got too see how much you will be racing the car etc... thats up too you , you can make the 300whp without one and drive it launch it etc... thats up too you
