Default ATTN: The Shodan!

I have a Garrett turbo, trying to figure out the actual size in relation to a more common turbo. The cold sides a/r says .70 and the hotside reads .63

the garrett stamp on the turbo with the part number is as follows....

p/n 1819744C91
s/n XCL08744 TC4305

Would like to know the trim size and what turbo it's equal too. I did a search on usedturbo.net but the results came back saying it's off a Ford 7.3 IDI Turbocharger (pre-powerstroke)

turbo looks like the one in the pic, just no internal wastegate housing.

Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Boy, nice to be personally selected I guess. ;-)

I'll see what I can do. I'm a little swamped with a Subaru project, but I'll get to work on this on Friday, and see if I can get some info for ya.

thats just and old b version of the t3/t4 hybrid that garrett used to make. t3/to4b h trim. Just look up garrett t series turbos to find it but I'm not sure they even list them anymore unless if its a place that does oem replacements. Its a medium size turbo good for 400+ ponies on full boost. I'm sure you can find upgrade parts on garrett's site. Im not sure what other turbo equals to it why dont you look up other large turboed trucks.

[(minor wheel diameter)x(minor wheel diameter) / (major wheel diameter)x (major wheel diameter)] x 100= compressor / turbine wheel trim

I used the following formula and the results were......

48.77m x 46.28mm = 2257.0756

68.96mm x 64.92mm = 4476. 8832

2257.0756/4476.8832 x 100 = 50.416227

in conclusion would it be considered a 50 trim? just making sure I did this right, I appreciate the info "chewyv" and "wantboost"
