I'm in the middle of a turbo DOHC ZC project for a customer. I would highly reccomend piecing together a kit for yourself. For more info on what parts you need just shoot me a PM.

Im running the DOHC zc in my car. Its a great little motor. Im currently on stage 2 upgrades, JG intake manifold, full-race turbo manifold, and an Innovative GTS61 turbo with hope to make some mid 500whp numbers at high boost. My old setup i did 381whp @ 23psi of boost.

JG Engine Dynamics and Endyn can help you with head related parts. I run a full JG head and valve train, plus JG cams. Im very happy! For motor parts, you can use most d-series parts, however when buying pistons make sure you get ZC spec pistons because the head volume on the ZC head is huge so you need to run a higher compression piston to keep the compression up. Also the piston-to-deck height is different. Endyn and Wiseco both makes pistons, or you can get custom order JE. You can get most of the block parts from raceeng.com.

I pieced together my own turbo kit, or you can use most d-series turbo kits. What else do you wanna know?

p.s. im selling the intake manifold above in those pictures, lemme know if you are intrested.

Overheating issues with a 1/2 radiator? Is that the reason your running a full rad? What are you using for management?

Well yes i did have overheating issues but because my radiator was leaking and because i didnt have a radiator fan. Since i had to buy a new radiator anyways i figured i might as well get that big *** integra - it was $10 more. One i swap to the new full-race manifold im going to have to go back to a 1/2 core civic radiator so i can fit the turbo in the front of the motor. Oh well

I run the Neptune on a p28 tuned by Cortney Green. We used both the non-vtec and vtec maps with a vtec switch over at 4800rpms - we did this so we can get more resolution outa the fuel tables. Runs so very nice.

I am running a turbo ZC. I built the kit from scratch so I didnt't really source any parts. I am going to eventually build the internals, but the car has taken a back seat since I just bought a new house. I haven't really had a lot of time to mess with it so it is sitting, untuned, in the garage. It runs pretty good for untuned, I made my basemap rich and reatard. It pulls ok. I am only running 5lbs right now untill I can get it on the dyno and tune her. Mine was a low-buck project. I wanted to see if I could build a complete kit for less than $500. Came in pretty close.

And now for a few pictures (the red valve cover and red cam gears are not read anymore, they are all black now)

My homemade manifold...

My attemp and success at TIG'ing mild to cast...

Oil Distribution...

Again...

Overall Shot...

Engine Bay with my uber cheap Bosch BOV from a Porsche believe it or not...

Again...

Again... (still need to fab a bracket for the overflow res.)

Everything was built from scratch in my garage with the exception of the intercooler . Not bad for ~$500.

I'm also running a turbo ZC. Unfortunately I blew the ring lands because of the Zc (short-geared) tranny. I also built the kit from scratch including the flanges and downpipe. I used TurboEdit for management with an untuned bin up to 8.5psi. The car ran great but I pushed it too hard (doh). I'm staying "D" series with a Y8.

im also running a boosted zc.

i got a greddy kit. The head has a few bent valves,so im going to have it built this spring and im also getting an intercooler,2.5 in downpipe, full 3in exhaust and turning up the boost with some tuning. All i want out of this motor is 200 whp. well see if i can do it.
I would recomend going with a custom kit though. with the money i have already spent and the money im going to spend,i could have had something much more badass. No regrets though

Im building up a kit with my cousin to do his UKDM d16a9 (ZC).

What sort of rpm are you guys revving to? Ive been advised and understand that lower rpm (7k) is prefered with boost to help prevent the head lifting on the ZC block. Only planning 7psi or so on std internals with a T25 to give meaty midrange. I did a D16a6 and on the same turbo that ran 170bhp 157lbft at 5psi. (flywheel)

Hmmm, I'm planning on switching to Hondata when I get the built motor ready because Uberdata and Crome don't have the support for the 3 BAR like hondata does (at least in my experience) I like the Idea of Neptune, I'm just not real fond of not being able to do my own tuning. I'm currently on Uber 1.66 and the stock MAP.

Uberdata does support the 3bar map. Before i switched to Neptune, i was running uberdata 1.66 with a 3bar GM map and about 15psi. There is support, its a pain in the *** to get it all working, but i was able to figure it out. If you want my uberdata ZC 3bar map - i think i might have it somewhere i can dig it up...

I am going to be getting a set of rods and pistons soon. What pistons are you running? I am going to get a set of d-series eagle h-beams. As for pistons, I am just curious what you are running. I am not too fond of dropping $500 on a set of pistons from Endyne. Since the basis of my whole project is to see how much power I can make for the lease amount of money, the Endyn's are out of the question.

Any info would be much appriciated.

Just like Quis23, i run the race engineering spec ZC pistons which are made by Wiseco. I think they are $340. You dont really have alot of choices. Not alot of companys make 9-10:1 compression ZC pistons which are designed for boost.

Using a higher compression d-series (z6,a6) pistons will work, but i dont know how much of a good idea it is to use a N/A piston in a turbo engine - since the pistons are normally designed differencely.

Thanks, I appreciate the offer, but I don't think my stock internal D15B7 is up to the task of much more then the 13psi that I'm running right now.
