Well i need to get this by the end of the month and the Skunk2 Megapower RR i had ordered i found out is on back order, the story of my life. So it looks like there are a lot of copies of the N1 style pipes anywhere from $150 and up to this guy below. I know Kteller sells a kit but after shipping and a 76mm muffler it would be the same price as a complete system and less hassle with welding.

What do you guys recommend. Is there another company like Greddy or HKS that sells a true 3" exhaust?

why not order some mandrel bends and go to an exhaust shop and have one made?

like i stated below after the material and cost of welding and a good universal turbo muffler it comes out to just close to 400-500.

If you know of any other system like thermal or skunk2 please post.

gotcha, i have never paid that much for a 3 inch to be fabricated... my last 3 inch exhaust was fabricated and had an APEX n1 cannister and i had 320.00 in it... The 4 inch im running now i only have 500.00 in it...

I think Full Race sells the Thermal kits for a good price and I know a few people running them that love em...

Columbia river mandrell bending sells a 3" kit for $150. It comes in 3 piecies. I have the same exhasut on my car with an Aero Turbin muffler.

What part #'s did you order from Columbia to get a good fit and did it require more bending once you got it on the car? thanks

The Skunk2 exhaust is much higher quality than the Thermal... and a bit cheaper too.

3" Thermal, mine is 8 years old and still looks brand new.

Honestly I didnt even know SK2 made a 3" exhaust, everyone I know or ever came across had the Thermal.

i got columbia kit too fits great had to ad lil bit at the cat area to fit four door, but fit like a glove, you could always order the 3 inch kit on ebay for 150 plu shipping its complete, all mandrel bends and fits great also

I asked this before and got no responce. The sk2 sounds bad *** and I just picked up one. I had to get just the muffler since they do not make a kit for a db8. I would wait it out.

im very impatient but i guess good things happen to those who can wait and i called around and found out Skunk2 got an order in yesterday instead of the projected 4-6 weeks out. So the skunk2 full system is on the way.

Now i need to sell my current exhaust full catback Apexi world sport 2 system. I have a post in the Marketplace. its basically brand spankin new.

Is EVERYTHING stainless on the Skunk2? The website mentions the hangers, and obviously the muffler is, but what about the flanges and the piping?

I have a 3" Vibrant and I honestly hate low speed driving. Make sure you get a system with a resonator, my vibrant didn't have one.

please tell me why would they have stainless hangers but non-stainless tubing? that makes no damn sense.

the kteller kits are like that. the welds are with mild steel filler too. at least thats how mine was!

IMO Thermal R&D is the way to go. Awesome quality and lasts forever. I've had it on all my cars with no problems at all.

For the same reason that Thermal has stainless tubing and mild steel flanges. The Apexi WS2 isn't fully stainless, either. right back at you.

yeah having mild steel flanges wouldn't have to do with warpage.

there is NO point to having stainless hangers on a mild steel exhaust. so i wasn't wrong. tool

Dearest Jackass, we're not talking about a turbo manifold here, so warping isn't an issue. The stainless hangers they were referring to could've been for the muffler only. This is the way my Greddy Evo was, until they made it fully stainless (including the flanges...imagine that!). I called Skunk2, and everything is stainless, including the flanges. I know it's difficult, but try not to be such an ignorant ***** next time.
