12V switched power source???
hello!! I have a 1993 CX with GSR swap, my question is where to get a good 12V switched power source?? I have 4 essential electronics equipment that need a 12v switched power. Thanks.
Hall effect sensor from tony1
Apexi Boost solenoid
AEM C2DI (it has 2 wires needed for 12V switched power source)
AEM wideband

if you don't use it. Tap off the cigarrette lighter. Just tap into the power from behind the lighter where it connects

Shouldn't. It has a 15 amp fuse to protect it. I hooked 3 gauges off mine and it was ok. I think if you was to use the lighter, you would have problems though. That might overload it.

use a relay so that when you turn the igntion on, you get your 12v switch power directly off the battery. off of the relay you can run it to a distribution block, and have nearly as many poles as you want....i think they usually come in 5 or 10 pole.
same concept as when people run a relay to their fuel pump. that way you supply the fuel pump (or in your case the distribution block) with power directly off the battery.

I doubt that

I've powered plenty of parallel circuits into my Ciggarette lighter, you might just need to switch to 20A Fuse though to support the added load, long as you don't go pluggin in a friggin 500W amp into you Cig lighter you shouldn't need to worry.

i agree with this because the guages are really only little light bulbs and such. they take almost ZERO amperage to run them. as for the wideband , thats only a few volts by itself too. i wouldthrow a 25 amp fuse in there and use the ciggy lighter. i know FOR A FACT that even if u use a 30 amp fuse, if you overlaod the circ, it will still blowthe fuse before it damages the wiring. ihad a short in my cig lighter once, right to the chassis, and i tried sticking a 30 amp fuse in it and it took like 4 seconds before it blew out.
