Hey Guys,
As the title states, I have my JDM B16A Automatic Transmission available for sale. It is LSD Equipped and comes with the OBD1 Automatic P30 ECU and the a Custom OBD2A to OBD1 Automatic Jumper Harness from Boomslang. This would be great for any currently Automatic B-Series Integra or to do an Automatic B-Series Swap as I did on my EK Hatch Civic.
I'm located in Orlando, FL and this must be picked up. SOLD. I compiled a list of everything that will be included with the sale, see below.
ITEMS INCLUDED:
- JDM B16A Automatic Transmission with OEM LSD off a 92-95 Civic SiR-II in Japan
- Torque Converter from the same Transmission
- Automatic B-Series Starter
- Automatic B-Series Vehicle Speed Sensor
- JDM OBD1 Automatic P30 ECU
- Boomslang Custom Automatic OBD2A to OBD1 Jumper Harness
- Modified 96-00 Civic Upper Transmission Bracket w/ OEM Mount
- Front Automatic B-Series Transmission Bracket w/ OEM Torque Mount
- Mounting Hardware (Tranny to Block Brackets/Bolts, Torque Converter to Block Plate/Bolts, etc)
Thanks for looking,

Re: FS: JDM B16A Automatic Transmission (LSD Equipped)
Why? Well because I needed to secure the B16A Automatic Transmission from the top on my 96 Civic, where this swap was installed. To accomplish this, I took the Stock D16Y7 Automatic Upper Tranny Bracket and modified it.
How? Unfortunately, I cannot explain all the steps that underwent as it was a trial-and-error type of modification and I did not document it. Basically, I would test fit, grind some parts off, bent some others, and re-test fit until I got it to fit/align with the B16A Auto Tranny mounting points and the Motor Mount when mounted to the Chassis' frame.
It would've been easier to just fabricate a complete custom bracket from scratch, but I did not have to tools to do so.

Re: FS: JDM B16A Automatic Transmission (LSD Equipped)
I did use an OEM upper bracket, it was off an Auto D16Y7 though (all I had at my disposal), so it needed modification. This B16A transmission is off a 92-95 Civic, these models have a mount attached to the tranny and their bracket welded to the chassis. This is backwards on the 96-00 Civics which is where I installed the swap. The 96-00 Civics have a bracket attached to the tranny and the mount attached to the chassis. Thus why modifications needed to be made.
There is no interference between the transmission and the frame, no cutting/notching/etc was required on my 1996 Civic.
I do have a question for you, are you interested in purchasing or just asking questions because you're curious. I don't mind, but I'd like to know.

Re: FS: JDM B16A Automatic Transmission (LSD Equipped)
If you didn't use an OEM automatic B-series upper trans bracket for 96-00 Civic chassis', did you compare one to your modified unit? If not, how do you know that the installed-height was not altered? I am curious because I don't know of any Civic which came with an automatic transmission for B-series engines with exception of the wagon version which was offered in other countries. The wagon variant is RHD and has a notch in the frame to accomodate the larger automatic transmission. I am wondering how you got this automatic transmission to fit without modifying your frame and while still having the driveline angles be true. Thanks in advance.

I know the installed-height was not altered because the Front Transmission Torque Mount was installed and secured, a floor jack was placed under the transmission, and a level was used to make sure the motor/tranny sat straight while the modifications to the bracket took place.
If you do not know of any Civic that came with Automatic B-Series you really need to do some researching my friend. It was widely available overseas in both the EG and the EK Models. Call HMotors or any other reliable Engine Importer and ask for yourself. Also, I'll enlighten you and tell you this: the GSR Motor was also available in Automatic. Search it up and amaze yourself for learning something new today
Unfortunately, I do not have the car anymore where the swap was installed. If I did, I'd gladly take a picture of the frame so you can see no notching was done and that the transmission cleared without issues and plenty of space. Everything worked perfectly without issues. These are the only pictures I have of how the Swap sat in my 1996 Civic.

Re: FS: JDM B16A Automatic Transmission (LSD Equipped)
It may or may not have made sense, I have no clue what the specifics revolving around the theoretical situation involve. I understand that you are making a distinction between 92-95 and 96-00 transmission cases and transmission brackets. They may, or may not be different. It may, or may not have bolted up properly. Torque mounts assist in dampening of torque, or twisting forces generated by the engine. The two upper cradle mounts determine the engine and transmission's installed-height. I understand that other markets used the automatic B-series transmissions for Civic chassis', I also understand that there is an additional notch in the frame to accomodate the automatic transmission in these cases which is absent on all US model Civics from 96-00, to my knowledge. GSR is from Integra and the question I have pertains to 96-00 Civics. I do not need a picture, I was hoping to get some accurate information from you regarding properly installing an automatic transmission for B-series engines into 96-00 USDM Civic chassis'. I apologize for distracting from your thread as I am only in search of the truth.

Re: FS: JDM B16A Automatic Transmission (LSD Equipped)
My swap was daily driven and gave me zero issues, I'm confident my swap was properly and accurately installed.
I cannot say that there is or that there isn't a notch on the Automatic B-Series equipped Civics overseas, as I have not seen one personally. Have you? You seem so sure that there is one, but then state that it's based on your "knowledge" which clearly doesn't seem to be that good of a source if a post ago you didn't even know Automatic B-Series Equipped Civics existed, except for a wagon variant.
I have personally attempted the swap in a 96-00 Civic USDM Chassis and had a successful outcome, I think I would've known if a notch was needed or not. It sucks for you that you weren't able to receive the information you were seeking. I'm not your step-by-step guide so I couldn't care any less. I answered all your questions as best and as detailed as possible from my personal experience, not theoretically or based on any assumptions.
No need to apologize for your trolling, next time though you should honestly consider PM'ing the person instead if you're not the least bit interested in purchasing and only have questions. I obviously had no issues in answering your questions and would've gladly answered them through PM's in order to not clutter up my for sale thread.
